LAVA LAMP STEPS: 1. To begin, color about 1/2 cup of water with food

coloring.2. Take the Alka Seltzer tablets and break them into 2

or 3 pieces. Place them in a small cup or container.3. Fill a glass about 3/4 full with vegetable oil. Then

pour in the colored water until the liquid in the cup is about 1-2 inches from the top.

4. Take turns adding a small piece of an Alka Seltzer table to the cup. *DO NOT let them put the tablet in their mouth at any time.

5. Watch the amazing lava lamp creation! Add more Alka Seltzer to keep the fun going.

LAVA SLIME STEPS:1. In a bowl add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup glue and

mix well to combine completely.2. Add the liquid watercolors or food coloring to make

your lava colored slime.3. Pour in 1/4 cup of liquid starch and stir well.4. Start kneading your slime! It will appear stringy at

first but just work it around with your hands and you will notice the consistency change.

5. Now add your dinosaurs for some lava play fun!

LAVA SLIME• ½ cup Elmer’s washable white glue• ½ cup water• liquid watercolors or food coloring (red/

orange/yellow)• ¼ cup liquid starch, plus extra as needed

(such as Sta-Flo) • Optional: toy dinosaurs or other small

toys
