From the President The Committee has been very busy working on the our vision for the future of LPNC

2019 and beyond. The care taken looking after the interest of the members is sec-

ond to none. I thank each of the committee in their work ethic and support in what

has been a very busy period for our club.

LPNC are very excited to announce the Intra-club season that will commence on

October 13th at Laurimar Primary School. This will run like any other netball season

finishing up on December 15th with our LPNC Presentation / Christmas Family day.

This is going to be a massive end to the year and lots of fun for our members.

The plans for the intra-club season started immediately after the announcement by

the Diamond Creek Force Netball Association (DCFNA) that they may not run a sec-

ond season due to renovation works. Given the lack of clarity regarding the second

season, LPNC decided to move ahead with our own club season to benefit our

members.

Of late, DCNFA have confirmed that they will be running a short 2nd season, how-

ever due to the late announcement and no details confirmed, the club has decided

to continue with the plans to run an intra-club competition. Registrations for this

competition will open prior to the end of August 2018.

We would also like everyone to take the time to acknowledge our coaches as they

invest a lot of time and energy to in the players and have been rewarded in some

pretty unusual ways. I can’t speak highly enough of them and truly thank them for

their commitment.

We also acknowledge the work of the volunteers, from team management through

assisting with fundraising, canteen duty and BBQs.

Our club has been asked a lot of questions throughout the year and with the hard

work of the committee, volunteers and the coaching group, we have come out look-

ing stronger for the experiences.

I’m very proud to be the president of this club and represent the members

Under 13s Netball Academy

The invitations for the Under 13s Netball Academy have gone out. Please ensure that you reply letting us know whether your daughter will be participating or not as we need to begin planning the training schedule.

The Academy is designed to help improve the girls abilities and fitness, it will be a mixture of fun, enjoyment and hard work that will help them and the LPNC move forward to a stronger level of success in our netball future.

The Academy will run from 23rd August 2018 to 6th December 2018 on Thursday nights. Bottom age Under 13s training from 5pm to 6.30pm and top age Under 13s will training from 6.30pm to 8pm.

New Equipment We are always updating and upgrading our equipment,

with the latest grant money received going to purchase

new Laurimar Power goal pads. These will be put to use

during our intra-club season that will run from 13th Octo-

ber to 15th December 2018.
