What does the buffalo eat

• They Eat grass and young shrubs for each three meals.

• They are vegetarian

Why are they so important?

• Plough paddy fields

• Their droppings

• Keeps the wetland dry

How many of them left

• 60 of them left in Pui o

• It is really endangered in Lantau

Why is it endangered?

• People killed it for goods.

• They use their skin to make merchandise

How do they get babies?

• Get babies by mating

• They feed their babies with the mothers milk

What does their waste do ?

• Burnt as fuel

• Fertilizer for gardens

• Remaining the wetland plains
