Islamic radicals are perplexed over the campaign started by liberal Muslim journalist Tarek Fatah telling

people the real face of Islam. A maulana from Bareli even issued a fatwa offering booty of Rs 10 lakh to

the person who could bring the head of Fatah. Radical Islamic organizations are trying to put pressure on

the government by organizing demonstration in Muslim dominated areas so that Tarek Fatah and

Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasrin are deported from India. Urdu newspapers are spitting venom

against these liberal leaders from past one month.

Love for Muslims is once again discovered by the Aam Aadmi Party as elections for Municipal Council

of Delhi are round the corner. A Haj House is being built in Dwarka area of Delhi at a cost of Rs 100

billion. It is expected that the building will be completed by the end of the next year. Delhi chief

minister Arvind Kejriwal and Muslims have a very close relations. Just before the Delhi Assembly

elections Muslims from the US published advertisements with the appeal to support Arvind Kejriwal in

the Assembly elections looking at the interest of Muslims.

An international research agency warned that by 2050 India will become the country with the biggest

Muslim population. At present Indonesia is the country with the biggest Muslim population. It is

emphasized in the report that Muslim women are producing more babies that women from any other

religion due to that Muslim population is growing very fast. By 2050 the population of Muslim would be

highest in the world. At the moment Christianity is the largest religion in the world but the way Muslim

population they will take over Christianity very soon to become the biggest religion.

Ill-famous journalist Aziz Burney jumped into the political battlefield. He has taken over the campaign

command of the Peace Party. He has been appointed general secretary of the party. He is spending

crores of rupees in the advertisement. The question is that from where such huge money a small party

like Peace Party is getting. Aziz Burney was once editor of Rashtriya Sahara, Urdu and he had encashed

his position as much as possible. He did not hesitate to hold the RSS responsible for Mumbai blasts and

wrote a book which was released by Digvijay Singh. Interesting thing is that just before the Mumbai

blast he was in Karachi. When a petition was filed in the court against baseless campaign against the

RSS, he apologized. It is said that he wants to go to Rajya Sabha with the help of the Congress but when

this deal could not be materialize he joined Peace Party of Dr Ayub Khan.

I Rs 10 lakh booty announced for beheading Tarek Fatah

Dainik Etemad on February 25 published a news report on the front page in which it was announced that an Islamic organisation of Bareli Faizan e Madina announced Rs 10 lakh prize money for the person bringing head of Tarek Fatah. The organisation said that to stop Tarek Fatah’s propaganda against Islam, he needed to be punished. President of the organisation Maulana Moin Siddin Noori said that Tarek Fatah was the agent of enemies and he wanted to destroy the communal unity of the country which must be stopped at any cost. The person killing him will be given Rs 10 lakh prize. The organisation demanded the government that channels telecasting Tarek Fatah’s programme should be banned and he must be deported from India. Another organisation of Barelwi Muslims Jamat e Mustafa handed over a memorandum to the President Pranab Mukherji to ban the programme of Zee News and Tarek Fatah must be deported from the country.

According to Sahafat (January 20), Muslims had lodged case against Zee News and Tarek Fatah in Deoband. Various Muslim organizations are protesting against it in Deoband. A delegation of these organisation led by Rahat Khalil Siddiqui lodged a report in the local police station in which it was said that programme called Fatah Ka Fatwa had hurt the religious sentiment of Muslims. Zee News and Tarek Fatah wanted communal riots in the country. It is said in the report that Tarek Fatah and Zee News deliberately unleashing propaganda against Allah, Prophet Mohammad Saheb and Khalifas. Tarek Fatah was deliberately ridiculing Islam and demanding banning Quran. Demonstrators demanded that Tarek Fatah must be deported and handed over to Pakistan to he could be prosecuted against disrespecting Islam.

Hyderabad-based newspaper Siyasat on February 19 published a news report in which liberal journalist threatened. An author named Mohammad Riyaz Ahmed said that people looking for cheap popularity in the media they are adopting this saitanic formula and this is the formula by which campaign for enmity against Islam is unleashed. This formula is being used across the world. Sometimes these elements say that Islam is anti-reformist. Muslim women don’t have any right therefore they needed to be empowered. So issues like polygamy, triple talaq, circumcision of women and burkha are targeted. Anti-Islamic forces detect such people among

Muslims, who have full of selfishness, hate for religion, opportunism and riotousness. These people also know that Muslims can tolerate everything but not disrespect for Quran, Islam and Prophet. Anyone disrespecting Islam, Quran and Prophet had to run here and there to save their life. He had to take shelter in closed room because they are afraid that followers of Islam might kill them. One such saitan is presenting a programme called Fatah Ka Fatwa whose aim is to defame Islam and Muslims and running a campaign against Prophet Mohammad. Though Tarek Fatah was born in Pakistan and was sent to jail for unleashing propaganda against Islam. He fled to the US and later on settled in Canada to talk nonsense against Islam. The ruling party is supporting anti-Islamic activities of Tarek Fatah in India. He is not even loyal to Pakiatan. He says that he is an Indian born in Pakistan and a Punjabi born as Muslim. Former President General Zia ul Haq got treason case registered against him. He used to call Sikh students as Khalistani and Kashmiri students as terrorist. Sangh Pariwar is using Zee News for anti-Islamic campaign. It appears that Tarek Fatah has very short life and any Muslim might kill him.

Dainik Inquilab in its issue on February 23 published a news report in which Jamiat Ulama e Hind secretary Maulana Abdul Hamid Naumani spat venom against Tarek Fatah. He alleged that Tarek Fatah was running campaign against prophet and Islam on instigation of Sangh Pariwar and he is giving name of Fatwa to useless statements. Though Tarek Fatah is not a Mufti therefore he does not have any right to issue fatwa. He alleged that Tarek Fatah was a non-believer who was trying to instigate communal riots in India. He does not know anything about Islam and he is instigating hatred against Islam and Muslims. He also alleged that most of the TV channels were anti-Muslims and anti-Islamic. Tarek Fatah does not know anything about history and Islam. He is spreading lie to keep his masters happy. The same newspaper published another news report in which it was alleged that when in a TV debate Congress spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala came out of the studio Tarek Fatah beaten him up. Poonawala wrote to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and demanded that visa of Tarek Fatah must be cancelled because he was trying to instigate communal riots in India.

According to Inquilab (February 22), Muslims of Malerkotla handed over a memorandum to the Punjab government demanding a ban on Fatah Ka Fatwa and action against Tarek Fatah. It is said in this memorandum that Tarek Fatah did not know anything about Islam and he was working on the instigation of the ruling party of the country. His purpose is to cause communal violence. Therefore this programme must be closed and he must be deported from India. Peace Party also demanded from the government that this programme must be banned immediately and Tarek Fatah must be deported from the country. The party threatened that if its demand was not met with a nation-wide campaign would be unleashed.

Campaign against Tarek Fatah by Urdu newspapers is continuing. Recently Tarek Fatah was misbehaved during a programme in Delhi but not a single report or editorial was published by Urdu newspapers. A misinformation campaign against Tarek Fatah is continuing in Urdu


newspapers in letters to editor written by readers. It is emphasized that Zee News and Tarek Fatah are trying to defame Islam at the behest of the Central government. In another write up, secretary of Jamiat Ulama Maulana Abdul Hamid Naumani alleged that anti-Islamic elements mischievously presenting statements of Muslim leaders as fatwa which was wrong. He targeted Fatah without taking his name saying that a person who was thrown out of the neighbouring country for opposing Islam, the same person is being used by Indian television to spoil image of Muslims and Islam. As far as fatwa was concerned, the fact is any person having doubt in their minds could seek guidance from a mufti in the light of Sharia. This is fatwa which could only be issued by a Mufti. No one else has the right to issue fatwa. Fatwa has a religious definition. Tarek Fatah is not a mufti and he doesn’t know anything about faith and Islam. So his imagination and statements of any Muslim leaders can’t be fatwa. Sangh Pariwar is highlighting his statement in media to cause confusion among Muslims so they start hating Muslims and Islam. He expressed grief over the fact that Muslims participating in TV debates are not familiar about the minor detail about Islam. People take benefit of their ignorance.

Dainik Inquilab on March 3 published the news report about a Sunni conference as the main news of the newspaper in which it was demanded that Tarek Fatah and Taslima Nasrin must be deported from the country. A memorandum was sent to the President in which it was demanded that the Centre must not interfere into the matter of triple talaq. Sunni waqf must be handed over to Sunni Waqf Board and number of people from Barelwi sect must be increased in it. Tough laws should be made for people disrespecting prophet of Islam. Demand was also made that Muslim youth lodged in jail should be released. Mosques, mausoleum and cemeteries should be given protection. Urdu must also be made the language of competitive exams. This conference was presided over by Maulana Al Hasan Raza Qadri and chief of the dargah from across the country also participated in it. This meeting emphasized the need of propagating Islam among youths as much as possible. Some of the important leaders who participated in this conference included chief of Mahara Hara mausoleum Najeeb Miya, Aala Hajrat of Bareli mausoleum Maulana Sujan Raza, chief of Bilgram Sharief Syed Sohail Miya, Gulzar Miya of Mosoli, Sultan Miya of Ajmer Sharief, Syed Fakhruddin Ali of Kichochva Sharief, chief of Khalziya mausoleum Unnas Miya, chief of Khangah Mohamadia Anwar Miya, chief of Bisodi Sharief Rashid Miya and Ishalamic scholars from Deva Sharief, Kaler Sharief, Nanpara, Behraich, Moradabad, Badaun, Odissa, Jabalpur and Mauritious participated in it.

A news report published on March 3 in Inquilab said that Muslims demonstrated against Tarek Fatah in Jalandhar. Demonstrators were led by Maulana Anwar Nadvi. Addressing the demonstrators Maulana said that Zee News was using this enemy of Islam to cause difference among Muslims at the behest of the government. Therefore he must be arrested immediately and sent back and Zee News must be banned immediately.


Inquilab on February 26 published a write up by president of Aalmi Urdu Trust A Rahman in which it was alleged that Tarek Fatah is agent of foreign intelligence agencies who is deliberately involved in misinformation campaign to divide Muslims. There are hands of Britain and Israel behind him. This is the reason that he is writing a book titled ‘Hindus Not My Enemy’. The author alleged that Tarek Fatah was running misinformation campaign at the behest of the government and the RSS. The author suggested that Muslims must take the help of law to expose this person.

50 per cent waqf properties under the control of Mafia

According to Akhbar Mashriq (February 28), Union minorities minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in the meeting of Central Waqf Council that 40-50 per cent waqf properties were in possession of mafias. The government will take action against them very soon. He said that waqf properties were not only occupied by mafia but some of the state government and officials of waqf boards were also involved. A committee has been set up in this regard which will submit its report in two months. After this report was submitted action would be taken against mafia and other culprits. Naqvi claimed that the government wanted to use income from these properties to be utilized for the welfare of Muslims but selfish elements were causing hurdles. There is information about scam in some of the waqf boards which is being investigated by high level inquiry team. Action will be taken after the inquiry was complete. He said that PM Modi wanted to make Union minority affairs ministry as strong as possible so Muslims were benefitted by it and welfare of minorities were implemented on the ground. He said, “We want to develop waqf properties for the welfare of Muslims.” He expressed happiness that state governments and waqf boards are doing good job. He said that the ministry wanted to digitalize records of all waqf properties which would tell the correct information about these properties. He said that to deal with complains regarding waqf properties and cases regarding the matter would be dealt by one member committee of the retired Supreme Court judge. M Y Iqbal has been nominated as its chairman. Such boards are being constituted in several states. Target is to set up such boards in every state. He said that the number of waqf properties was 314494 which might increase after digitalization of records. Some waqf officials are causing trouble in digitalization of waqf properties so action will be taken against them. He said that Rs 3.30 crore has been earmarked for digitalisation of waqf board while states will be given aid to the tune of Rs 9.70 crore. He said that the Narendra Modi government wanted welfare of minorities there budget of minorities has been increased. The present budget was Rs 4,195 crore which was 368 crore more from the last budget.


It was claimed in another news report published in the same newspaper that the West Bengal government providing stipend to fake Imam. All Bengal Youth Forum demanded that on the lines of the Delhi government, Imams should be provided residence. Mamata Banerjee announced Rs 2,500 stipend to 30,000 imams in the state and Rs 1000 for moijjins but it was banned by the high court. So the stipend was now being given by the State Waqf Board. Youth Board said that none of them are imam who were claimed to be given stipend. Therefore it is important that Waqf Board must release a list of imam so that people could know the truth.

According to Dainik Etemad (February 25), Telengana Waqf Board has been constituted and MLA Mohammad Saleem has been nominated as its chairman. The board has 11 members that included AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi. Mohammad Salim told reporters that Waqf Board would take tough steps to remove illegal occupation on waqf property and for this help of police would also be taken.

Dainik Munsif on February 24 published a write up by M S Khan in which it was alleged that there was illegal occupation on waqf properties. Central government made Central Waqf Act in 1995 but several states have not implemented it so far. The government has maximum illegal occupancy over waqf properties. He said that former chief minister of Maharashtra Late Vilas Rao Deshmukh’s brother has in illegal possession of 30 Bigha land in Aurangabad. Later on he sold a portion of it to Ambani for Rs 21 crore while the current cost of the land was Rs 5000 crore. Several mosques, cemeteries and mausoleum are illegally occupied. The government knows everything but due to political pressure no steps are taken to remove these illegal occupations.

Delhi Haj House to cost Rs 100 billion

According to Sahafat (March 3), the Delhi government had given permission to build Haj House at the cost of Rs 100 billion. President of the committee Mohammad Ashraf Khan, executive officer Ishfaq Ahmed, deputy executive officer Mohsin Ali and other officials. Immediately after the meeting of Haj Committee, the blue print of Haj House was handed over to the committee by Public Works Department which approved it. This is to recall that despite Delhi being capital, there is no Haj House while maximum numbers of Hajies go to Haj from Delhi. Hajies going to Haj from Delhi are also from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh. Haj Committee was working from a building called Haj Manjil in Turkman Gate. DDA allotted 5000 sqare metre land in Dwarka in 2008 but construction could not be started. Now it it hoped that by next year construction of Haj House would be complete.

In the guise of Ramjas College of Delhi University, Urdu Newspapers unleashed a campaign against Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

Akhbar Mashriq in its editorial on March 1 alleged Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad resorting to gundaism. The newspaper reported that due to gundaism of the ABVP seminar planned in the Ramjas College was cancelled in which Umar Khalid from Jawahar Lal University was supposed to participate. But when a student Gurmehar Kaur exposed them in social media the entire Sangh Pariwar jumped on her. Strange thing was that ministers in the government also started jihad against her and claimed that this girl wanted to destroy the nation. M Venkaiya Naidu linked this issue with Jammu and Kashmir and said that who could talk about freedom of Kashmir. Naidu had gone to say that some people wanted to make universities laboratories of separatists and called ABVP a nationalist organisation. On the other hand Congress came out in support of Gurmehar Kaur. Women organizations are supporting the argument of Gurmehar. The newspaper wrote that Gurmehar Kaur did not break the law of the land. She just exposed the violent attitude of a violent organisation. The line taken by the BJP leaders and ministers in the government was not only astonishing but shameful as well.

Dainik Inquilab on March 3 published a special editorial on the same issue in which it was alleged that Sangh Pariwar was involved in hooliganism in a planned manner. If daughter of a martyr raises her voice, she is threatened to be raped to choke her voice and after that communalism is spread in Jamia Milia Islamia with the help of Sazia Ilmi. This is the same Sazia Ilmi who is the daughter of former Congress leader Isaq Ilmi of Kanpur. She contested Vidhan Sabha election as an Aam Aadmi Party candidate but lost election. She also lost Lok Sabha election from Ghziabad as AAP candidate. Personal relations of this woman are so poor that her brother contested against her in the election and she does not have good relations even with her mother. Now, Sazia joined the BJP and became spokesperson of the party. Seminar organized in Jamia Milia was actually done by a puppet organisation of the RSS leader Indresh Kumar that is known as Rashtriya Suraksha Jagran Manch. The programme was not organized by Jamia Milia Islamia. Name of Sazia Ilmi was not in the list of speakers in the beginning but when the BJP started facing problem on the issue of Gurmehar, they started Sazia Ilmi drama to divert attention from the issue of Gurmehar Kaur because they wanted to do in the universities across the country. But Sangh Pariwar does not have courage to bring gundas from outside to cause disturbance. The most sad thing is that such kind of people are making the country week by causing disturbance and alleging other for treason.

Dainik Sahafat in its editorial on March 3 held the RSS responsible for the incidence at Ramjas College of Delhi University and said that they deliberately instigating violence. Everyone must


criticize it. The newspaper said that when a girl opposed gundaism of ABVP, she was threatened to be raped. Important thing is that the girl is the daughter of a martyr. On instigation of the RSS leaders, cricketer Virendra Sehwag and actor Randeep Huda also tried to prove that this girl was working at the behest of others. Very sleazy and unconstitutional language was used against this girl. A few elements are deliberately causing unrest and communalism in educational institutions. Violence is being spread. These actions are very shameful. How come someone threatening to rape could be defended and who has the propriety of nationalism. Strange thing is that Union minister of state for Home has also joined this campaign. On the other hand chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal demanded tough action against people involved in the violence at Ramjas College. Kejriwal alleged ABVP that it was causing environment of violence. It is only the workers of the ABVP who shout anti-India slogans. The Central government openly encouraging gundaism of the RSS affiliated organizations. Ever since the Modi government came to power such elements are encouraged.

Akhbar Mashriq on March 2 criticised Gurmehar for withdrawing from the movement and expressed astonishment to the fact that when the entire country was supporting her, she withdrew from the movement? Is she afraid of these Gundas?

Siyasat in its editorial on February 25 alleged ABVP that it is targeting its rivals. Umar Khalid was stopped from speaking at Ramjas College as talked about unity in the society and advocated for the rights of poor. The newspaper alleged that ever since the Modi government took over reigns anti-RSS student organizations are being reined in. Earlier students belonging to anti-RSS ideology were sent to jail on false charges, however, the police failed to substantiate charges. Earlier a Hyderabad University student Rohit Vemula was so much distressed that he committed suicide. There is a hand of Modi behind ABVP so the organisation is involved in gundaism in universities across the country.

Hindustan Express in its editorial on March 1 said that Gurmehar Kaur had to leave Delhi due to gundaism of ABVP. The newspaper also alleged that the way programme of Umar Khalid was forced to stop by Gundaism of the Sangh Pariwar that could not be a democracy. The newspaper said that it was a bitter truth people coming to power after 2014 are enemies of freedom of expression. People opposing it are called traitors. Gundaism in a college of the Delhi University was being opposed across the country. It is shameful that the girl who is being threatened to be raped is daughter of a martyr. Though due to political pressure FIR in the matter of Gurmehar Kaur has been lodged but no action has been taken so far. Due to political pressure, the authorities failed to take any action. People associated with the RSS earlier had unleashed campaign against JNU. A mole was termed mountain hill and the entire university was declared as den of anti-national. Everyone knows that ever since the BJP came to power, educational institutions are being thrust a particular ideology. People spreading gundaism and causing violence are careless due to support from the government because they know that no action will be taken against them.


Hamara Samaj in its editorial on March 1 alleged that the RSS is thrusting its ideology on universities by means of gundaism. The recent incidence at Ramjas College was condemnable. Last year people belonging to the same ideology got arrested some students of Jawahar Lal Nehru University for alleged treason charges and they were arrested. The newspaper said that opposition was alleging the police for arresting people from other ideologies at the behest of ABVP. They were beaten up. Strange thing is that Union minister was giving statements to deteriorate things further. The way Gurmehar Kaur was threatened no civilized society could tolerate.

Inquilab in its editorial on March 1 wrote with the headline – Now martyr will be given certificate by saffron organisation. The newspaper criticized the fact that saffron organizations were threatening rape on the daughter of a martyr Gurmehar Kaur. However the only crime of this girl was that she opposed gundaism of ABVP at the Ramjas College and supported freedom of expression. Saffron organizations were hell bent after her for this crime and she was alleged to be a traitor. Saffron organizations are involved in propaganda against Gurmehar Kaur.

Former chief of SIMI sentenced life term for treason

According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (February 28), district judge of Indore sentenced 11 accused including SIMI chief Safdar Nagori life term for their involvement in waging war, possession of illegal arms and causing disturbance. Public prosecutor B G Sharma told reporters that on March 26, 2008 in Dhar district the police got intelligence information that SIMI chief was involved in anti-national activity in Pitampura along with his 11-12 accomplishes. The police started search operation under which on March 27, 2008 Safdar Nagauri, Sibli, Raju alias Kamruddin Nagauri, Sabar, Ansar, Ahmed Begh, Samiullah, Manroz, Khalid Ahmed and Aamil Pervez were arrested from a house in Sham Nagar. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession. Later on in the police interrogation they admitted that they were preparing SIMI people to cause disturbance in the country. Public prosecutor produced 127 witnesses before the court and court sentenced all of them with life imprisonment.

Commenting on this incidence Inquilab on February 23 wrote an editorial that those who have been sentenced to life are lodged in jail for nine years. They were arrested by the police on treason charges in 2008. Whether they are culprits or not that the High Court will decide. The newspaper writes that culprits must be punished but such people who are falsely implicated by the police they must also be prosecuted in time-bound manner. The newspaper said that the police were keeping a watch on SIMI. This organisation was started in 1970 from Aligarh by Mohammad Ahmed Siddiqui as Student Islamic Movement. It was known as SIM then and the


objective of the organisation to instill unity among different sects of Islam and encourage people to live life as per Sharia. This organisation was considered to be part of the Jamiat Islami but both these organisation got separated in 1981 when this organisation termed Yaser Arafat as an agent of western country on his visit to India. It became more aggressive after parting ways from Jamate Islami and its leaders started spreading communalism. These people wished some other Ghori or Ghaznavi to attack India. They thought that solution to the problem of Indian Muslims cannot be resolved through democratic and for that bullet is the only solution. In 2001 Safdar Nagauri in an interview to reporters said some very inflammatory things after that SIMI was banned but the other aspect is that intelligence agencies and police falsely implicate Muslims therefore common people don’t believe them. SIMI was held responsible for 2006 Malegaon blasts but later on it was found to be false and there was saffron terror behind it. The police killed five SIMI workers in Andhra Pradesh in 2014 and it was alleged that they were trying to snatch arms from the police. Last year the police killed eight SIMI workers after they fled jail. Now the matter is being judiciary probed.

Aziz Burney once again active in politics

According to Inquilab (February 24), Urdu journalist Aziz Burney is once again active in politics and he became general secretary of Peace Party. President of Peace Party Dr Ayoob Khan join hands with Apna Dal Sabka Dal and Nishad Party to form a front which is contesting Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. Dr Ayoob is running a campaign by putting out advertisements in Urdu newspapers.

Inquilab on February 24 published an advertisement on front page in which it was written that what Aziz Burney said was proved to be correct. In another advertisement picture of Aziz Burney was also published. Burney claimed that Dr Ayoob participated in any election in 2012 and there was historical victory for secularism. There were 73 Muslims in the state Assembly. President of Majlish e Ittehadul Muslamin contested BMC elections and due to that communal forced had won the elections and secular parties were at major loss. Think what will happen to Uttar Pradesh now! Will anyone be able to stop communal forces? Reject my words and tell me the truth. If enemy of Muslim a Hindu then praise, if Muslims is exposed then threats and abuses. How this could be denied that Sultan Salauddin was MP between 1984 and 2004 and was with the Congress. During massacre of Sikhs in 1984, Meerut riots in 1987, Maliana and Hashimpura killings of Muslims, he remained silent and with the Congress. Muslims were killed in Muradabad, Aligarh, Jaipur and Bhagalpur but Owaisi kept quiet, 1992 Babri mosque was martyred but Owaisi remained with the Congress. He did not even part ways with the Congress after Gujarat riots in 2002. From 2004 to till now Assaduddin Owaisi was with the last Congress

Dainik Inquilab in its March 1 issues published an advertisement by Aziz Burney in which very serious allegation were leveled against AIMIM. It said that the AIMIM candidate used the death of a woman called Anjali to defame Dr Ayoob while the truth was that a 6-year-old girl Anjali came to get treatment and had gone back after treatment who later on died due to kidney failure. This issue was racked up by AIMIM candidate from west UP Tauhid Siddiqui and declared that as long as he is not jailed he would not sit idle. He said that mother and sister of Anjali have been given Rs 5 lakh to tell lie against Dr Ayoob.

Inquilab on February 25 published an advertisement in which Aziz Burney had given his clarification. He said that things like visiting to the places of killing and burning houses during 2002 Gujarat riots, speaking against Modi, raising their voices and writing a book after coming back was not easy. Speaking against George Bush after 9/11 during my visit to the US, dig out facts, writing on destruction of Iraq and Afghanistan to get oil wealth, writing on defaming Muslims across the world on terror charges and writing about then in Hindi, English and Urdu was a tough job. Raising voice for the youths from Azamgarh Arif and Sazid killed in encounter and giving befitting reply to the people calling Azamgarh a den of terrorism. Visiting Mumbai after getting information about Mumbai riots, meeting wife of Hemant Karkare and exposing the threat given to her by the RSS and collecting facts to write the book – Conspiracy of the RSS, losing my job and facing trials was not that easy. Refusing offer of job from Munsif TV of Hyderabad and offer of Rs 20000’s job for a big political party was not easy. I stuck to my principals and sacrificing job of lakhs of rupees for my community was not easy. Opening front against the RSS for calling madarsa as dens of terrorism, putting across the role of madarsa in freedom struggle, exposing ghastly designs of the RSS, truth of real terrorists of the RSS Swami Asseemanad, Sadhvi Pragya Singh, Srikant Purohit and Swami Dayanand to bring forth. Exposing alliance of the RSS, Israel and Nepal in my book RSS ki Sajish was not easy. It was also not easy to drive to Gopalgarh mosque amid firing of bullets and stand midst of bodies of namajies. Fighting for the innocent Muslims lodged in jail and get them released was not easy. Today, Arshad Madni is doing it in a big way. The story is very long and I was always right and when you were with me I was with big power and with the flow of air. Am I wrong today that I am telling that how the wind is blowing and looking for division in Muslims, watching clashes with Hindus and making fun of secularism? For god shake think from the mind not from the heart. Is fight between Hindu-Muslim correct? Is defending Kasab right? Is rejecting secularism correct? Are we in the majority in any state except Kashmir? Raising voice is important but solution to the problem is also necessary? Who will do this? Will communal forces do this that is blood thirsty of Muslims, no, never!


Akhbar Mashriq on February 20 published a write up by Hafiz Naumani on Aziz Burney. Hafiz Naumani wrote that on July 14, 2016 where were Mr Burney? How was he? Did he read the news report about the press conference organized about Dr Ayoob in Hardoi in which Dr Ayoob said that looking at the election of Uttar Pradesh, a mahagadhbandhan is being planned looking at the weaker sections in the state that included Muslims, Dalits and OBCs? We are in touch and talking to BSP, Samajwadi Party, the Congress and AIMIM except the BJP. Two meetings had already held and third meeting is planned at the office of Jamate Islami office in Lucknow. We have already reached an alliance with Mahan Dal and Rashtriya Nishad Ekta. This press conference is seven-month-old. We keep a watch on Dr Ayoob and with sad not I would like to state that Allah made a Muslim a very nice surgeon but saitan has brought him to a dirty locality whose first step is lie. After seven months in an advertisement in Inquilab, he said remembering Dr Faridi that Allah does not give birth to people like Dr Faridi but he gave birth to Dr Ayoob to replace Dr Faridi. Dr Faridi was MLC for six years and then parted ways. He became member of Muslim Majlis and became minister as well. Dr sahib later said that since promises made with Muslims were not fulfilled so Majlish will from the government. But only one MLA resigned on his appeal. He might be Aziz Burney or Colenel Zahid, for the God shake have mercy on Muslims. He mentioned two Dalit parties in the past seven months, there are dozens of such Muslim parties but they were not mentioned in the advertisement. Aziz Burney is a big journalist and he knows that how much cost is incurred in publishing an advertisement on front page in Sahara and Inquilab. He also knows it well that Inquilab belongs to Dainik Jagran group and Jagran is the voice of the BJP. Burney sahib also knows it that Muslims just not only read Inquilab but Sahara is still popular after he left it as its Awadhnama is very popular. If someone alleges that Amit Shah got the first page of Inquilab to Dr Ayoob so he could stop Muslim votes going to Congress and SP therefore the BJP candidates could win, what clarification anyone will give?

IS plans to capture Pakistan

Weekly Nai Duniya on February 27 made a forecast that Islamic State wanted to take Pakistan in its grip after Syria. The war begins to capture the new battleground Pakistan for war against the US. Pakistan emerges the new centre for jihadies and the new battleground for Baghdadi. The recent attack on mausoleum of Lal Shahbaz Kalander gives that message only. Pakistan is well aware of these facts therefore tremor is happening in Pakistan. Army attacked borders of Afghanistan and piles of bodies are visible, border of Afghanistan closed and Army flag march continues on roads of Islamabad. Pakistani guessed that Afghanistan will be targeted by Mulla Baghdadi before Pakistan so Pakistan was contended but activists of Mulla jihadies has disturbed everyone’s sleep. This incidence neither had hands of Al Qaida, nor Tahrik e Taliban but ISIS. Pakistan too has supporters of ISIS and in the Pakistani Army as well. Supporters of Mulla Baghdadi are also in intelligence department. And if Mulla Baghdadi captures nuclear arsenals in Pakistan, no one should be surprised. A section in Pakistan is already with IS. Whatever had happened at the mausoleum of Lal Shah Kalandar that clearly told the world the new base of Baghdadi! An Army of jihadies is already present in Pakistan which is away from power. No one should be surprised if they capture power in Pakistan with the help of Baghdadi. Baghdadi knows that everything is in Pakistan that was once in Syria. Different sects of Islam have bitter relations. Afghanistan provides strong supply line of jihadies that might come from the Central Asian countries. Mulla Baghdadi has his influence in intelligence agencies of Pakistan so he is looking for a new abode which is a danger for India. This will be a danger for south Asia. Last year there were some indications that Pakistani Taliban and IS have join hands. Pakistani Army started action in Wazirasthan that forced Taliban to join hands with Mulla Baghdadi. Taliban has already been recruiting jihadies for Baghdadi. Pakistan has now started war against Shias.

Over 100 people got killed in a bomb blast at Lal Shahbaz Kalandar mausoleum. All these incidents have shaken Pakistan. So now the Pakistan will have to take some solid action against terrorists. As per claims of the Pakistan government over 200 terrorists have been killed so far and over 1000 arrested. The Pakistan government claimed that jihadi elements were gathering in Afghanistan. The question is that Pakistan has been victim of terrorism but why it was silent on them. It appears that Pakistani government realized the danger of Mulla Baghdadi so it is trying to save itself.

Islam to be the biggest religion in the world soon

Sahafat on March 3 published a report as the main news report in which a forecast was made that by 2070 Muslims will be biggest religion in the world. As per findings of research of the Pew Research Centre, Muslims produce maximum number of babies. A Muslim woman on average produces 3.1 babies while women from other religions produce 2.3 babies. As per the report, Muslim population is also increasing in Europe and North America due to migration. Islam is expanding at the fastest pace. Muslims were 1.6 billion till 2010 which was 23 per cent of world population while Christians were 2.2 billion with 31 per cent share of world population. As per the research report, in the next 23 years Muslims worldwide will grow by 9 per cent and by 2070 they would exceed the number of Christians in the world. By 2100, the number of Muslim population in the world would be 34.9 per cent which would be maximum. As per report 62 per cent Muslims of the world live in Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Turkey. By 2050, the number of Muslims in India would be more than every religion in the country. According to the report, till last year the population of Muslims was 33 lakhs that would be doubled by 2050.

In a blast near famous mausoleum of Sindh Lal Shahbaz Kalandar over 100 people got killed and at least three got injured. The responsibility of the blast was claimed by terrorist organisation ISIS.

According to Inquilab (February 18), in a gun battle Pakistani Army killed over 100 suspected terrorists. Mourning was being observed for the blast at Lal Shahbaz Kalandar mausoleum.


Public relation department of Pakistani Army announced that due to secret operation of Army over 100 terrorist got killed and big numbers of terrorists were arrested. The Army claimed that terror network has been broken. The government spokesperson claimed that people causing blast at Lal Shahbaz Kalandar had come from Afghanistan. Therefore Pakistan and Afghanistan borders were closed and investigation was being done by security agencies. Pakistan government sent a list of 72 terrorist to the Afghanistan and demanded that these terrorist must be handed over to Pakistan.

Making editorial comment on this attack, Inquilab wrote that though partition of India and Pakistan was done around 75 years ago still stability has been elusive for Pakistan. Structure of Pakistan is getting dismantled. Terrorism has taken Pakistan into its grip due to that reason condition of Pakistan is getting deteriorated. Terrorists are playing bloodbath of Pakistanis. The Pakistan government and Pakistani Army failed to establish peace in the country. This is not the first chance when any terrorist targeted any mosque. All the claims made by Pakistan to eradicate terrorism appeared hollow and they appeared mear drama. The country that could not take action on the people perpetrating terror on Mumbai what could be expected from them that they would be able to stop terrorism in their own country. In another editorial of the same newspaper it is said that aggressors hurled bomb after entering the mausoleum. When people gathered around injured people, they blew themselves up in which over 100 people got killed that included men, women and children. Khursan group of the ISIS claimed the responsibility of this attack. This is to recall that the world famous Lal Shahbaz Kalander mausoleum is around 300 kilometres away from Karachi. The real name of Hajrat Lal Shahbaz Kalandar was Syed Muhammad Osman Ali Marwandi and his ancestors were Hajrat Zafar Sadik. They were propagating Islam in Sindg from Ghazni to Ghouri. They used to wear red cloths so they were known as Lal Kalander. They were missionaries of Islam and they propagated Islam in a big way in this region. Every Sindhi where Hindu or Muslim have faith in him. People killed in this blast included four Hindus. The newspaper said that when the Pakistan government put dreaded terrorist Hafiz Sayeed under house arrest, jihadi organizations started campaign to take revenge against the Pakistan government. The newspaper criticized to the fact that on one hand the Pakistan government claims to start campaign against terrorist on the other hand Home Minister of Pakistan Choudhary Nisar Khan is secretly meeting terrorists.

Roznama Rashtriya Sahara in its editorial on February 18 criticised this blast by saying that it was very shameful IS terrorists have taken its responsibility. Lal Shahbaz Kalander is an important Sufi saint of the 12th century who propagated world peace. This mausoleum is world famous. Pakistan is an Islamic nation where terrorist activities intensified in a few years. The entire world knows about Pakistan that it is a country with terrorist den. India and Afghanistan have been targeted from Pakistan. India provided with evidence of these terrorist attacks to Pakistan on several occasions but rulers of Pakistan did not pay any heed to it. There is not a single city of Pakistan was left where no such attack took place. Schools, mosques and


mausoleums are continuously attacked. It appears that Pakistan government surrendered before terrorists. If the Pakistan government did not pull strings on terrorists, days are not very far off when existence of Pakistan would be doomed. The way terrorists are trained in Pakistan that could not be ignored. Intelligence department of Pakistan ISI has taken up the responsibility of training of terrorists and making available funds. The Pakistan government is helpless before the unholy intention of these organizations. There is no place for bloodbath and terrorism in Islam therefore Pakistan must take action against terrorists.

After the blast in mausoleum, the Pakistan government started a nation-wide campaign against terrorists. According to Dainik Siyasat (February 27), Army battalions raided at least at 200 places in Pakistan side of Punjab in which 600 suspected terrorists were arrested. In an encounter with the Army 14 terrorists were killed. Religious madarsa and saray were raided in entire western Pakistan. Arrested people were linked to Jamat e Harar. This organisation owned the responsibility of several terrorist attacks in the state. The Pakistan government handed over western Pakistan to rangers for two months so action could be taken against terrorists. Spokesperson of the Pakistan Army said that several organisations of the Pakistan Army are participating in this campaign against terrorists. As per another news report, Insah Party of Hyderabad alleged that the government deliberately targeting innocent Pakhtoons. Most of the arrested on people on terror charges have proof of the Pakistani citizenship. Insah Party alleged that to distract attention of the people of Pakistan from increasing terrorist activities innocent Pakhtoons are being killed and people being arrested indiscriminately.

Roznama Rashtriya Sahara in its editorial on February 20 alleged Pakistan that the Pakistan government is responsible for the increasing terrorist attack in the country. The newspaper said that India was putting pressure on Pakistan from very long time to take action against the accused of Mumbai blast Hafiz Sayeed but Pakistan was neglecting it. Now action has been taken on Hafiz Sayeed and his some accomplish under the US pressure. Protests are taking place in the cities of Pakistan over house arrest of these terrorists. Who does not know that there are hands of Army and intelligence behind these terrorists? The truth is that the Pakistan government and Army is responsible for people being killed in Pakistan in terrorist activities. Now Pakistan feels that if it has to bring stability in Pakistan then it would have to take solid actions against terrorists in the state.

Life term to five for killing Japanese

According to Inquilab (March 1), five Islamic terrorists have been sentenced to death in Bangladesh for killing a Japanese. These terrorists killed the Japanese in 2015 by firing a bullet on him. According to Justice Narendra Chandra Sarkar, five terrorists belonging to the


banned terrorist organisation Jamat ul Mujahiddin were found to be guilty for killing Japanese citizen. As per the Justice Sarkar, the intention of these murderers was to cause instability in the country and defame it. This murder was a well planned action. When the court pronounced its judgment four accused were present in the court room while one was absconding. 66-year-old Japanese was working in Bangladesh on betterment of agriculture in Bangladesh. He was shot at in Rangpur. People sentenced to death included chief of Jamat Masood Rana among others. As per the government sources, one terrorist already got killed in the police encounter. This Japanese citizen accepted Islam but attackers were not aware of this. Earlier terrorists killed an Italian citizen.

Arrest of Baluch leader demanded

According to Inquilab (March 3), Pakistan requested Interpol to issue Red Corner notice for Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti and his accomplishes for demanding freedom of Baluchistan. Commenting on the Pakistan government’s decision, Baluch leader said that they were not afraid of threats of Pakistan and would continue their struggle for Baluchs. He alleged that Pakistani Army in Baluchistan was continuously abducting and involved in mass killing Baluchs demanding Independent Baluchistan. He said that demand for free Baluchistan is getting intensified by the day and this demand will not be suppressed. According to the newspaper, interior minister of Pakistan wrote to Interpol requesting issuing warrant against Bughti and his accomplish Sher Mohammad because they are alleged to be involved in the terrorist activities in Baluchistan. Bughti supported the demand made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for independent Baluchistan and said there is no other option except this. He alleged that the Pakistan government deliberately kept the Baluchistan region backward and those who tried to raise voice for Balochs were crushed.

Eight lakh refugees sent back from Pakistan

According to Etemad (February 14), Human Right Watch in its report claimed that Pakistan forced six lakh Afghan refugees to leave Pakistan in six months they included 3.5 lakh registered refugees. In recent times Pakistan sent back maximum number of refugees forcefully. As per the report, these refugees are facing hunger, unemployment and violence in Pakistan. This is also alleged in the report that United Nations also helped Pakistan in this regard. Pakistan used force, threat and power to send these refugees back. In the report, it was requested from the other countries of the world to put pressure on Pakistan that it must not force refugees to leave


Pakistan. Besides the announcement made by the UN to give $400 to every refugee leaving Pakistan has also encouraged migration. It is said in the report that those who had left Pakistan did not have any shelter; they did not have any employment opportunity so they are running here and there. They don’t have sufficient cloths to negotiate with the cold weather conditions in Afghanistan. This is the reason many of them died.

According to Hindustan Express (February 18), the minister of the border issues of Pakistan General Abdul Qadir Baluch said that Afghan Refugees in Pakistan would not be forced to go. He said that there was no intention of sending back such people living in Pakistan for over 30 years. However it is very rare that Afghan’s do their work. Such Afghan refugees who are getting their education would be given visa to complete their education. He said that at present 13 lakh Afghan refugees are living in Pakistan and out of that 6 lakhs are illegal refugees.

US announces sending back one billion refugees from the country

According to Inquilab (February 23), the US government decided that 1.10 billion foreigners living in the country illegally, they would be sent back. The government issued orders in this regard. Spokesperson of the White House said that these measures are taken for security reasons. Criminals will not be allowed to go and they would have to complete their punishment terms. According to the government sources, the US has 1.10 billion foreigners who do not have legal documents. Canadian Prime Minister announced that they would be given refuge in Canada. According to the government sources, three lakhs people of Indian origin might be forced to leave the US under this scheme of Trump administration.

Over one thousand children died in bombardment

According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (March 3), in the Russian bombardment at least 1000 children were killed. The newspaper alleged that despite announcement of ceasefire, the Russian government indiscriminately bombarded innocent children. A Syrian organisation called Syrian Observatory informed through its report that Russia started bombardment in Syria from September 30, 2015 which is still continuing. At least 11312 people have been killed in this bombardment that included 1175 children. These bombings killed 686 women, 2977 men and 3209 IS jihadies and 3265 jihadies from other organizations. According to the report of this organisation, Russians are using cluster bomb besides that they are using small bombs. Once a cluster bomb explodes more than 100 bombs spread all around and cause huge destruction in the 400 metre area where no one survives.

Woman banned from visiting foreign courtiers alone

According to Etemad (February 21), the Libya government banned women visiting foreign countries. Now, they would not be able to visit foreign countries without father or husband. Governor General issued order in this regard but women organizations were protesting against it and it was termed as intrusion into women’s right. Several Muslim women in Eastern Libya were stopped at airport to travel alone. According to the government order, women below 60 years of age will have to travel to foreign countries with father or real brother or husband. It is emphasized in this order that women must accompany such persons with whom marriage with those personas per Sharia is not allowed.

Opposition leaders killed at the behest of Iran

According to Hamara Samaj (February 20), the government run television of Iran accepted that the Iran government gets killed its opponents living outside the country. According to a news report published in alarabia.com, a former commander of Hijbullah Amad accepted that on instructions of Iran government they got killed some of the anti-government Iranian leaders. He said that when a former Prime Minister of Iran Shahpur Bakhtiyar was living in Iran, they tried to kill him on instigation of the Iran government but the attempt failed. He was arrested by the France government after that incident and he was in jail for several years after that incidence. He had also accepted that murder of former PM of Iran in Paris in 1991 was executed by agents of the Iran government. After this murder, two out of three murderers were fled to Iran while the third was captured and was sentenced life imprisonment in 1994. Later on this prisoner had got released in place of a French prisoner in Iran. This French citizen was told not to participate in protest in Iran. Minister of the intelligence department of Iran Mehmood Alvi accepted in 2014 that government agents of Iran kill opponents of Iran in foreign countries. They killed leader of the Baluch terrorist organisation Abdul Rahman Regi and his nephew by entering into Pakistan. He accepted that agents of the Iran government killed at least two dozen Iranian leaders in foreign soil. Killed leaders belonged to opposition parties of the Iran government.

According to Hamara Samaj (February 23), a parliamentarian of Iran Jawad Karimi Qudeshi claimed that the Iranian government entered into secret deal with the US and western countries before controversial atomic deal. Iran assured in these deals that it would give recognition to Israel, stop terrorist activities and start campaign against Saudi Arabia. A new controversy started after this statement. The Iran government refuted these statements saying that Iran did not enter into any secret deal with any nation while addressing namajies at masjid Imam Ali said that Iran assured the US that it would restrict its nuclear programme and support Iran and other Sunni nations. Foreign ministry of Iran alleged this parliamentarian to misguide people.

20 terrorist arrested in Bahrain

According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (February 23), the Bahrain government arrested 20 people for participating in terrorist activities that included 4 women. According to the government sources, the group of terrorists active there tried to flee to Iran but the police foiled it and 20 proclaimed terrorists were arrested. Besides that four women have also been arrested who were alleged to have helped fleeing a person responsible for killing a policeman on January 29, 2017. Rest of the other people arrested was alleged to be responsible bomb making, getting Army training in Iran and Iraq and procured arms and ammunition from these countries. 20-year-old Ahmed Ali Yusuf made his house a factory of making arms and ammunition. Arrested people are alleged to have distributed arms and ammunition they got from Iran and Iraq.

According to Akhbar Mashriq (February 23), famous Balooch leader of Iran Maulvi Abdul Hamid Ismail alleged the Iran government that it must stop hanging Sunni leaders on false charges. He said that the Iran government was partial towards followers of Sunni sect people therefore they are implicated in drug smuggling cases. Iran leads in the matter of hanging. He demanded that indiscriminate hanging of Sunni Muslims must be stopped.

Case of crane accident dismissed

According to Munsif (January 28), a court in Mecca dismissed the case of crane accident in 2015. This accident had happened during the construction of a building by Bin Laden Group. The group told the court that there was sudden change in the environment and due to storm crane fell down. Around 50 lightning struck in Mecca in an hour and due to that drivers of this crane and tourists were killed. The government spokerperson said that 40 mililiter rainfall was recorded in five hours. The court dismissed the case on these facts saying that accidents happened to storm.

Two IM supporters arrested in Saudi Arabia

According to Inquilab (January 16), Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Pakistan chief Prof Talib Rahman fled to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan and participating in IS activities there. On this, he and his brother were arrested by Saudi Arabia police. According to a Pakistani newspaper Dainik Osaf, brother of Dr Talib Rahman Prof Tabbib ur Rahman confirmed that Dr Talib Rahman and his brother Prof Taifukul Rahman have been arrested. A delegation led by Paristani parliamentarian Sajid Mir Saudi Arabia and putting pressure on the Saudi government to release him. As per informed sources, they were found to have relations with IS. As per the recent information, the Saudi Arabia government refused to release them.

According to Siyasat (February 27), anti-terror squad in Gujarat arrested two Jihadies who were planning to attack several places in Gujarat. Arrested persons are real brothers and were linked to IS through social media. Material used in making bomb was recovered from them in huge quantity. Name of these two brothers are Wasim and Naeem. They were planning to bomb several religious places in the state. Several computers were recovered from them that had confirmed their link with the IS.

According to Dainik Munsif (February 28), both the arrested brothers are well educated and have degree in computer science. Their plan was to cause several blasts in temples of Gujarat and their relation was found to be with Islamic State. The police are investigating the matter.

According to Siyasat (February 1), an Indian living in Dubai had financially helped have connection with the IS. These girls belong to Philippines and Tunisia. The person who had funded them is from Maharashtra and he had helped these girds on instructions of a Pakistani. After he was deported by the UAE authorities, Mohammad Farhan Sheikh was arrested by Indian agencies. Sheikh informed that a Pakistani called Farhan told him to give money to them. Sheikh transferred this money through Western Union between 2015 and 2016 to Tunisia. Besides senting money to Tunisia, this man had also sent money to two girls of Philipines called Jannat Qasim and Zoharia. Farhan said that Sara was contacted through facebook and she is supporter of IS and wanted to participate in jihad. This Pakistani provided 1300 Dirham to give it to these two girls. The other two accused included Sheikh Azhar Islam and Adnan Hussain of Karnataka.

According to Munsif (January 18), National Investigative Agency arrested a person called Mohammad Irfan living in Hyderabad for his suspected link with terrorist organisation IS. He is alleged to have links with Ghulam Yadani Group for having links with IS who had conspired to plant several bombs in Hyderabad. Irfan made them available a house and he along with Mohammad Ilyas Madni got explosives from Pochmalli which were tested in Anantpur. It is

said that IS chief Khalifa Abu Bakar al Baghdadi gave biyat also and at that time Irfan was given a new name Abu Zafar. This is to recall around 18 people of this gang has been arrested but six people have been let off while rest of them are prosecuted and they are in jail.

Jamate Islami in support of Najib

According to Inquilab (February 24), Jamate Islami has come out in open in support of controversial student of Najeeb. This is to recall that wo does not know the relations between Jawahar Lal Nehru University student Umar Khalid and Jamate Islami. A press conference organized in Delhi, general secretary of Jamate Islami Salim Engineer was also with the mother of Khalid Fatima Nafees. Saleem said that even after four month passed stiil the attitude of the police is shameful. Everyday a new story is being cocked. Accused are treated as guests. In the condition of missing Najeeb, we consider Delhi police an accused. The question is that had there been a worker of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad, the attitude of police would have been different. The Delhi police that could keep Muslim youths in jail for 12 years, they are not asking even accused in the case of Najeeb. They said that the matter of Najeeb is spreading across the world which is spoiling the image of police. He alleged that the Delhi police linked Najeeb’s name with terrorists from the very beginning but it failed to do so. This fight is not just of Najeeb but of the entire country and Jamate Islami is with him in every possible means. Nadeem Khan, a friend of Najeeb, said that the police was deliberately spoiling the case. He demanded judicial enquiry into the matter. Najeeb’s mother Fatima said that I wouldn’t go back home till my son is found and die on the streets of Delhi. We were assured that Najeeb would be brought within 24 hours.

Muslim League attempts to spread its wings in northern India

According to Hamara Samaj (February 24), after Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen spreading its tentacles in Uttar Pradesh, now Muslim League plans expansion in north India. At present the headquarters of Muslim League is in Chennai but it has sought a place for office in Delhi. MP from the League P V Abdul Wahab said that Muslim League was expanding its activities in north India. Meeting of the national executive of the Muslim League would take the decision in its meeting in this regard. He said that the position of president of the party was also vacant so the new president also needed to be elected. He said that recently the Muslim League made an alliance with United Democratic Front. Now it wants to set up its office in Delhi to expand its


base in north India. He said that we have our units in Delhi but we want to strengthen them. Muslim League is contesting election on two dozen seats in Uttar Pradesh. Now it wants to work on the ground level. Several areas of Bihar too have activities of Muslim League but not participating in political activities. It is said that there was void of leadership therefore League wanted to expand itself politically. In Bihar elections League contested elections however no one succeeded.

Toilet necessary for nikah

According to Sahafat (February 20), Muslim scholars of three states decided that they would not read nikah of such families who does not have toilets. General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama e Hind Mehmood Madani said that it has been made a necessary condition for marriage of Muslim boys in three states. These states included Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Very soon other states will also be brought under such provision. Inaugurating conference of Jamiat Ulama in Assam he said that Islam emphasizes very much on cleanliness. Therefore Muslims must focus on building toilets in their homes which will cause cleanliness all across. Assam chief minister Sarbanand Sonowal said in this conference that by the year end entire will be free from open defecation.

Court’s intervention for beard

According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (February 24), a police personnel in Gujarat sought court’s intervention to keep beards. Gujarat High Court accepted the petition of Mohammad Sazid Shabir Miyan for consideration. As per informed sources, last year 25-year-old Mohammad Sazid was appointed in Lok Rakshak Dal. Higher officials instructed him to cut his beards but he refused to cut it. He said that he had every right to keep beard as per Islam and the government did not have any right to ban it. Police officers refused his argument and asked him to cut his beard. He has gone to the court against this order. Sazid said that he was keeping beards from the very beginning and no one objected over it. Officers told him that he might keep beards after Haj. Sazid said that just to keep beard he cannot spend Rs 2 lakh on Haj. Now I am not being given duty. As per rules of Lok Rakshak Dal beards are allowed only after Haj.

Attempt to incite communal violence in Western UP

According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (February 25), abduction of Hindu women by mischievous elements in Western Uttar Pradesh is causing communal tension. From Salava village in Meerut district a Hindu woman was forcefully abducted by a gang of Muslims. Several days have passed but the police failed to trace the woman. Similarly people belonging to two communities fought in Saharanpur. It is said that when Rinku Prajapati daughter of Madan Lal of Dholi village of Deoband had gone to temple to offer prayer, she was eve teased by boys from minority community which was opposed by the BJP and Bajrang Dal people. This caused clashes from both the communities. The police officer Chiman Singh Chabra denied that this fight break due to eve teasing of Hindu women. He said the fight broke out between two youths that took communal colour. No arrest has been made so far in this regard. Similarly a dead body of a woman was recovered at Seelampur village of Meerut district. As per the police, the age of women has been around 25 years. Family members of the girl said that she had gone to field from where some people kidnapped her later her body was recovered. No arrest has been in this regard so far.

Investigation against Zakir Naik

According to Dainik Sahafat (February 24), after ban imposed on Islamic Research Foundation hearing in tribunal will be in closed room. This decision was taken by Justice Sangeeta Dhingra of Delhi High Court who is chairman of the tribunal set up for looking into the matter of illegal activities. The judge instructed the government to produce all evidences before the tribunal.

According to Akhbar Mashriq (February 22), chief financial officer Aamir Gajadhar of Zakir Naik accepted during interrogation that organisation of Zakir Naik was getting financial assistance from Dawood Ibrahim. He also said that Islamic Research Foundation was getting financial assistance from Pakistan and Dubai through Hawala.

Ban on taking bath in Anna Sagar

According to Akhbar Mashriq (February 22), taking bath in Anna Sagar in Ajmer city has been banned which is being opposed by Muslims. They are saying that banning taking bath on people coming to offer prayer to Ajmer Sharif was wrong. This decision was taken in a meeting


presided over by education minister Vasudev Devnani. It was decided in the meeting that to check pollution at Anna Sagar bathing must be ban in Anna Sagar. Muslims have objection over the fact that in this meeting management committee members of Khwaja Moiniddin Chisti mausoleum and Diwan of mausoleum were also present. They did not oppose this decision. A section of Muslims opposed inside the mausoleum. Demonstrators said that people coming to offer prayer at mausoleum take bath in this lake and do waju. This decision will trouble them because there is no other arrangement of taking bath.

Falsehood of Dalit Muslim unity

According to Dainik Sahafat (February 6), former president of National Minority Education Commission Justice Sohail Aijaj Rizvi said that Muslims and Dalits must look for the solution of their problem jointly. He said that both the communities are victim of backwardness. If they join hands most of their problems could be solved. He said that as a judge his experience tells that Muslims and Dalits did not get justice. Muslims are continuously neglected. He said that recently the Central government made provision of Rs 52 thousand crore for Dalits but minorities were given just Rs 3900 crore. President of an organization of Dubai called Federation for Justice Mohammad Qutuburahman said that we must fight for our rights. The government must pay attention towards Dalits and Muslims because these communities don’t have strong leadership. Professor Vivek Kumar of Jawahar Lal Nehru University said that as per conspiracy image of Maulana Azad, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Dr Ambedkar’s image was destroyed. We must develop our own leadership. There is no other solution. Vice chancellor of Al Falah university Jawad Siddiqui said that Muslim and Dalit alliance did not succeed but we must ensure its success else existence of these communities will be in danger.
