1. Teacher flashes the text on the whiteboard
2. Teacher reads the text aloud line by line and asks pupils to repeat after her.
3. Pupils talk about their comprehension of the story
4. Teacher asks about the different types of punctuations that can be seen from the text and highlights the speech markers from the story on the whiteboard.
5. Teacher draws dialogues boxes on the white board.
6. Pupils volunteer to extract and copy the sentences with speech markers from the text and write it in the correct dialogues box.
7. Teacher explains the form and the usage of speech markers.
