Another program taking place, is with the TIS, which is a government program, funded with federal resources. An agreement has been reached so that each unit will have an academic in charge of IP.

In December last year, personnel of the ROs attended a meeting in Los Mochis, a small agricultural town in the Pacific coast of Mexico, where 120 academics of the system received lectures about IP.

The Tecnologicos system has an annual competition of Innovation and Creativity where personnel of each Regional Office act as judges.

There are 217 units all over Mexico. It’s the largest organization of this type in the country.
