School’s Out For Summer
Because school finishes at 12pm the last day of school, St Patrick’s OSHC will be open from 12pm - 6:30pm.
The entire cost for this half day will be $25 before CCB/CCR. This will be our end of term party where we will be celebrating the term that was
with some of our favourite crafts and activities.
We provide a flexible program that reflects children’s interests and spontaneity. This Program Provides some highlights of experiences that are planned. Our educators are responsive to the children in care.
Our role is to support the children as leaders of their holiday experience.

Goodnight, Welcome to the
first ‘night’ of vacation care.
Join us for a day of night time fun
where things glow and sparkle.
We are going on an excursion to
see “Trolls” at the Gympie cinemas. So fluff up your hair and come along on this
magical journey.
So many games! We will play every kind of game you can think of we
have board games, card games, water games & you can build your own.
Come one, come all to the OSHC circus
we have clowns, we have tricks but
we need you to help us put on the show under the
big top.
Today is all about getting down &
funky to the music, dance the day
away with our disco party & make your own disco ball for
your room.

Bring your bike or scooter because we are going to
ride our bikes and scooters around and around. It’s
going to be ‘wheely’ fun.

We’re going on a bear hunt; we’re going to build our own bear. Then we can go for a picnic with our
very special new bear friends.
Today we are going to do crafts
that Grandma’s do. Knit a bracelet,
cross-stitch your own bookmark, it’s going to be ‘sew’
cool.
Bring a book to read to everyone in our
book club. Take a trip to the
local library & then create your own
book for your own story.
Today is the day of reconciliation in South Africa. So let’s learn about South African
culture & some of the Afrikaans
language.

Ever notice that lots of Christmas things are green & in the spirit of a green Christmas will use recycled materials every
craft and activity.
Still need to get a present for
someone? Join us on our excursion to the reject shop where we will be buying presents for loved ones.
Deck the halls with lots of new songs.
This is the day where we recreate Christmas carols in
our own style & then have our own concert at the end.
Today is our Christmas craft day and you guessed it’s all about the crafts so let’s make trees
and decorations and wreaths.
Aussie, aussie, aussie…ho, ho, ho! Come celebrate an Aussie Christmas with us, bring a plate of food for Christmas lunch and be surprised.

Today is all about things that go up
in the sky and even in space.
Join us for some floating science and learn how
things fly.
You will be bowled away by all the fun we will have today. Start the day with
a trip to the bowling alley and then make your own bowling set.
Come connect with our crazy crew and create cute cats,
colourful creations & then construct a
car course that covers the carpet.

Typhoon cues is visiting to days &
they are bringing a pool table, air
hockey and put, put golf to teach us how
to play all these games.

Birthday
Celebrate our OSHC being open for a year by joining us for a day of birthday fun where we will be creating party hats and making music and playing lots of crazy
party games all day. We also invite everyone to come join us for cake at 3pm as a thank you for helping
this service become what it is today. We wouldn’t be here without your help.

Vacation Care Information
Fees
Incursion fees are added to the “Regular Fee”
These fees will vary according to the planned activity.
Bookings
Bookings are not confirmed until the signed vacation care booking form is returned to
OSHC & fees are paid. Emails requesting a booking for a child will not suffice.
Vacation care bookings will only be accepted once all outstanding OSHC fees have been
paid.
Changes or alterations made to bookings after the cut-off date will only be possible if there
are vacancies and must be in writing.
Attire
HAT – We are a sun safe service all children must bring a sun safe hat.
CLOSED IN SHOES – Children must wear closed in shoes. Children not wearing
appropriate shoes will not be able to participate in some activities for safety reasons.
SHIRT WITH SLEEVES – Children should wear shirts with sleeves as part of our sun safe
policy.
Food
Children must bring morning tea and lunch with them daily.
As we are a nut free service please do not send nut products to Vacation Care. This
includes ‘traces of nuts’ products.
Food cannot be cooked or reheated at OSHC.
Please send a water bottle with your child every day.
Medication
If children require medication during the day the parent/carer/guardian must fill out a
permission to administer medication form on the day of attendance of the child. This must
be accompanied by a letter from your doctor or a pharmacist’s label.
Activities
If children do not wish to participate in the programmed activities we also provide the
regular selection of indoor and outdoor games
Excursions
Children must have an individual permission form signed for each excursion before they go
on excursion
Children attending excursions must adhere to all sections of the ‘Attire’ heading above,
please no heeled boots as we are walking on most excursions.
