Everything about our laser barrier curtains is based on user feedback from our work with thousands of customers in 60-plus countries in hundreds of applications over 35-plus years.

Our products are certified to multiple standards (ANSI, CE, NFPA, ASTM) and are tested by multiple agencies including, California State Fire Marshall, Boston Fire Department and Fire Department-New York City.

Our design recommendations ensure compliance with ANSI Z136 – we help customers understand what the standards require and will help customers design systems that both meet ANSI and work within the constraints and needs of the particular organization.  Those features that are not subject to certification are designed and tested with laser users in mind.

Kentek’s Laser Barrier Partitions are built to perform.  Because we have the most extensive damage testing data in the industry, we can certify our laser barriers to multiple standards including applicable ANSI and CE requirements.

Customizing is the hallmark of our LaserSmart™  laser safety barriers. We have a range of materials to select from, including a barrier construction certified to block 3000 W/cm² for at least 100 seconds.

Choose from one of our popular configurations: free-standing movable barriers, portable “quick setup” barriers, table top surrounds, or entire modular walls and rooms.  We can add doors, interlocks, roofs, and options to integrate our barriers into an existing wall or partition system.

Customer's Objective LaserSmart™ Solution Implementation Concepts

PERMANENT AREA BARRIERS

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains Custom designed laser safety barrier curtains can segregate large rooms or separate laser areas from administrative areas.

EVER-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains High-powered, all-metal laser safety barrier curtains are surprisingly easy to use and are suitable for almost any area segregation.

Blackout Light Control Curtains Valance and floor-drag options seal out ambient light for applications requiring total darkness.

Movable Laser Barriers Free-standing movable barriers on wheels are suitable for long-term placement and area segregation.

TEMPORARY AREA BARRIERS

Movable Laser Barriers Position one or more movable laser barriers between laser operations and non-laser staff.

5M Collapsible Laser Barriers With just 5 major parts including pre-assembled laser blocking panels, these barriers are ready for use in under 5 minutes.

Service-Right™ Portable Laser Barriers Block potential stray radiation during laser service by establishing U-shaped work area for maintenance personnel.

VESTIBULE AND DOOR PROTECTION

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains Create a safe zone just inside a doorway using laser barrier curtains.

EVER-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains Create a secondary door with a straight, "U", or "L" section of EVER-GUARD® laser barrier curtain.

Movable Laser Barriers Position one or more movable laser barriers to impede entry into a laser hazard zone.

WINDOW BARRIERS

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Window Blocks Attach custom size laser barrier blocks to windows with magnetic, hook-and-loop, or mechanical fasteners.

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Window Shades Our clutch-driven roller shades include side channels and bottom sills to completely seal out laser radiation.

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains Sometimes windows and doors are too large or too complicated for blocks and shades: consider a short straight run of laser barrier curtains.

VIEWING WINDOWS

Acrylic Laser Viewing Windows Allow personnel to view laser operations safely by selecting a high visibility laser viewing window that attenuates stray laser radiation.

Glass Laser Viewing Windows Filter glass viewing windows should be selected when high-powered lasers are present or when the best visibility is warranted.

Films for Laser Viewing A selection of films can be applied onto a window or between panes to create a laser safe viewing window.

OPTICAL TABLE BARRIERS

TABLE-GUARD™ Modular Surrounds Position the posts around your table and slide in the metal panels to build low walls, like a hockey rink, around your experiment.

BENCH-GUARD™ Stand-alone Mini Barriers Install Bench-Guard™ panels in critical areas on your table to enhance safety; for example, put a tall guard at the end of the table nearest the entry to your laboratory.

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Barrier Curtains Surround your optical table with full height, or partial height laser safety barrier curtains. Install at the table perimeter, or leave a "walk zone" around your experiments.

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Window Blocks Attach laser blocks to the overhead shelving or other structure to create a barrier for controlling laser radiation.

FLEX-GUARD® Laser Window Shades Roller shades can be attached to overhead shelving or integrated into optical table superstructure. There are advantages to being able to pull the barriers up and away from your table.

AREA CONTROL AND AREA WARNING

ENTRY-GUARD™ Safety Interlock System When full control of room entry or laser operations is necessary, connect interlocks, shutters, warning lights, signs, emergency shut-offs and more: all in a failsafe and easy to operate safety system.

ASC Automatic Sign Controller Select a sign controller to automatically turn on a warning sign or other indicator when your laser is on. Operation is based on current draw by equipment associated with your laser.

Signs & Labels ANSI Z136 requires you to have appropriate signs and labels for your lasers - ask the Laser Helpers at Kentek to assist you in achieving compliance.
