The hole had twigs, leaves and owl feathers in it. Late one night they woke up and their owl mother was gone! Sarah : Where’s mummy? Percy : Oh my goodness! Bill : I want my mummy! Narrator : The owl babies came out of their tree house and sat on the branches. A great big branch for Sarah, a small branch for Percy and a teeny weeny branch for Bill. It was dark in the woods and they had to be brave. For things moved all around them. Bill : I want my mummy! Narrator : The owl babies closed their owl eyes and they wished and they wished and they wished their owl mother would come. And she came! Swooping through the trees to Sarah, Percy and Bill. Sarah, Percy, Bill : Mummy! (they cried and they ﬂapped and they danced and they bounced up and down on their branch. ) Owl mother : What’s all the fuss? You knew I’d come back! Sarah : I knew it! Percy : And I knew it! Bill : I love my mummy!
