Lakewood Christian Schools Assistant Principal Opportunity Outline Lakewood Christian Schools, of Long Beach, California, is seeking an enthusiastic leader to join a mature, long-serving administrative team, committed to working together within a respectful, selfless, highly relational context to co-lead our K-8 school. Who We Are LCS exists to assist parents in the maturing of their children by providing a Christ-centered education emphasizing academic excellence that prepares students to stand firm in their faith in Jesus Christ and be productive, responsible citizens at home, at church and in our community. LCS has a rich history since 1978 as a ministry of Arbor Road Church. Our school has a current enrollment of 295 students, with two classrooms of each grade level. We are dually accredited with ACSI and WASC, and enjoy a family atmosphere where we appreciate being together. In addition to a rigorous academic program, we offer a variety of co-curriculars including, music, art, computer, and athletics. Who We Are Seeking LCS is seeking an experienced, energetic, self-motivated, and flexible person responsible for assisting the principal in the administration and coordination of all aspects of the school. The Assistant Principal will have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The spiritual life of the assistant principal must encompass a growing relationship with Christ, the ability to provide spiritual leadership to the school body, and the provision of a school climate where a positive Christ-like attitude may prevail. The Assistant Principal must be an active member of Arbor Road Church in Long Beach, CA and fully support the church and school statement of faith. The Assistant Principal is responsible directly to the school principal, and ultimately to the LCS School Board and the Arbor Road Church Board of Elders.
