He is also recognized for his distinguished services in the field of culture, and is a recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit. JAMT Scientific Festa: This Festa will feature diverse visual exhibits, demonstrations and lectures about the accomplishments and activities of JAMT members and manufacturers, including; External quality assurance program, Standardization of Assay, New common reference value , Cl in ical physiology seminar, Pre-transfusion test, Automated blood cell count, Microscopy laboratory session for pathology & cytology, Microscopy conference on microbiology.The Festa will allow the participants to gain in-depth knowledge and experiences to utilize in their future research and careers.

The main topic of the Student Forum is “Advantage, disadvantage and perspectives of the students/scientists in Biomedical Sciences.” In addition to addressing the differences and similarities among the countries regarding education, profession and future, possible strategies for promoting international collaboration will also be discussed based on presentations. The Student Forum will contain three parts as follows:

Dr. Koichi Tanaka was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2002, for developing mass spectrometric analyses of biological macromolecules utilizing soft lasers. He is also recognized for his distinguished services in the field of culture, and is a recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit.

Dr. Tanaka will deliver the keynote speech at this year’s World Congress. He is currently working on the practical application of technology for the “early detection of disease, using a single drop of blood.”Dr. Tanaka is a Senior Fellow at Shimadzu Corporation and the head of Koichi Tanaka Mass Spectrometry Research Laboratory, as well as the head of the Koichi Tanaka Laboratory of Advanced Science and Technology.
