INTRODUCTION

This classification report defines the classification of the product specimen FIRE RESISTANT SINGLE-LEAFSWING DOOR, type MS 14 in line with procedures specified in the standard HRN EN 13501-2:2010.

1. BASIC DATA OF THE SPECIMEN

1.1. Intended use: FIRE RESISTANT SINGLE-LEAF SWING DOOR, type MS 14 is usedfor closing openings in massive walls on boundaries between firecompartments.It is intended for preventing the spread of fire between two firecompartments.

4.3. Field of directapplication:

Based on positive test results, the following variations are permitted ascompared to the tested specimen of class E1230, without the need ofadditional assessments, calculations or approvals.Direct application of test results is determined in the standardHRN EN 1634-1:2008, clause 13, and it refers to the tested productspecimens described in the test report no. l-3869/14-1 of 2510912014.

The door structure (leaf and door frame) shall be the same as in the testedspecimen described in the test report no. l-3869/14-1.This classification report is valid only for the fire resistant single-leaf swingdoor.Dimensions of the metal frame may be increased, to adapt it to the thicknessof the load-bearing structure. The type of metal shall not change, and itsthickness may be increased by mostly 25%.The density of the insulation material shall not be reduced, but may beincreased. The door mav be manufactured with or without a doorstep.

Painting the door with paints that do not influence the door fire resistance ispermitted.

The number of anchor bolts for the fixation to the wall may be increased.The gap between the rough opening and the door frame may be reduced,but not increased.Placement is permitted in massive walls of minimum 30 minutes fireresistance.

Hardware replacement is permitted with the hardware of equal dimensions,with proven equivalent properties, i.e. tested on equal or similar doors.The number of hinges, locks and other lock elements may be increased, butnot reduced.The lock shall be fixed at the same height or higher in proportion to theincreased door height.The distance between the upper hinge and the upper edge of the door shallbe equal or less than the distance on the tested door.The distance between the bottom hinge and the bottom edge of the doorshall be equal or less than the distance on the tested door.The distance between the middle hinge and the door shall be equal or lessthan the distance on the tested door.When three hinges are used to prevent deformations, the distance betweenthe bottom of the door and the middle hinge shall be equal or larger than onthe test specimen.

The door size may be reduced by mostly 50% in width and 75o/o in height,whereat the number of hinges, locks and other movement mechanisms maynot change.The door size may be increased by mostly 15o/o in width and 15o/o in height,whereat the total surface increase mav not exceed 20%.
