La Ola Casa Hogar

INFORMATION PAGE

Description

You are invited to go on a missions trip to La Ola Orphanage in Jalisco, Mexico. We will take a VBS team for a time of ministry to the girls of La Ola; a Street Ministry team to take the Word of God to the surrounding villages; and a Construction Crew to help build a storage shed and bunk beds, and help with roofing and electrical issues. The trip will take place June 26th – July 1st. We have only 30 spots available, so sign up quickly! The total cost of the trip will be $950; a deposit of $100 is due by March 12th. Please pray about joining us for this wonderful week of ministry. Accomodations You will be staying at Hotel Perico, which adjoins La Ola’s property. Each room will contain three twin beds to house 3 people. Food

Most of your food (there will be a couple restaurant meals) in Mexico will be prepared at La Ola and is completely safe. Food is generally simple, consisting of rice, beans, chicken, etc. It is suggested that you carry some snacks with you in case you do not like a particular meal. There is, however, a Walmart that is convenient to La Ola. Dress Code Please dress in conservative casual clothing and while swimming, please wear a one piece bathing suit. Please do not wear spaghetti strap tops or two piece swimsuits. Insurance

Travel Medical Insurance will be provided to each team member. This insurance will help fill any gaps that may occur in your standard medical coverage. It is not coverage for trip cancellation. Spending Money

You may take whatever you desire for spending. There will be minimal, if any, opportunities for shopping, due to the short duration and location of this trip. There will be opportunities to take the girls for treats (ice cream, etc.). U.S. dollars will need to be exchanged for Mexican pesos. Spending money will be collected by the team leader on the day of departure so that all monies can be changed at one time.
