3).DonotusetheL9®systeminserviceenvironmentsexceeding400ºF.Anycadmiumorzincplatedproductissubjecttodegradationofcorrosionresistanceandpossibleliquidmetalembrittlementattemperaturesexceeding400ºF.

4).Discuss the use of L9® bolts and washers in tapped holes, with Reliant bolts engineering staff to establish correcttighteningtorquesandmethods.Excessiveorinsufficient clamp loads can cause major problems.

5).When tightening L9® bolts, use the recommended torquevalues.Theselflubricatingfeaturesofthesys-temreducerequiredtorquessothatin some instances they are below those needed to tightenGrade8bolts.
