I-Shou has been widely recognized and accredited by many international organizations. It isa great delight for them to be part of the first GHLS 2020 as they are committed to healthliteracy in their curriculum . Since 1997, the Department of Health Management hascollaborated with indigenous communities in the rural areas of Taiwan by bringing theirstudents to lead a winter vacation camp with the Laiyi Township Southern Elementary Schoolin the Pingtung County.  Health Management students are tasked to develop localized course and interactive gamesin line with the culture and needs of the indigenous people through creative thinking toachieve the purpose of enhancing children's health literacy. The camp curriculum includedbalanced diet, safety and first aid, sexual education and other topics. The camp focused onteaching the children how to eat healthy, respond to disasters and prevention of sexualharassment. Overall, it was a collaborative health-literacy engaging program for both parties!
