Adults: Participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA). Infants to age 5: Parents and Godparents participate in Baptism program. Children (Grades 1-8): Participate in Religious Education Program. Please make an appointment to discuss preparation for the sacraments.

The Catechumens and Candidates give a wit-ness to the entire community. Their enthusi-asm and fervor helps us recommit to living our faith in that same spirit. OLGC– Loss & Grief Support Group Even with the blessed assurance of resurrection, the death of a loved one is hard indeed to bear. It is important to remember that we are not alone in our difficulties, that burdens are best shared. In the beautiful words of the Servant Song: “We are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.” To that end, a Loss & Grief Support Group has formed in our parish. Meetings will begin on Monday, April 4th in English and Tues-day, April 5th in Spanish. If you would like to take part, please call the parish office 718-447-1503 before Tuesday, March 29th. Please leave your name, telephone number and the best time to re-turn your call and you will be contacted by a mem-ber of the support team.

PILGRIMAGE OF NY 2016 –YEAR OF MERCY – SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 2016

The top of Manhattan to the bottom of Manhattan!

We will be walking the length of Manhattan, visit-ing churches in honor of the Year of Mercy. We will visit two churches named after two saints who are examples of God’s Mercy: Saints Peter and Paul. In addition, we will visit two churches that have been designated Holy Doors for this jubilee year: St. France Xavier Cabrini Shrine and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Opening prayer will be at 9 AM at the Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, 701 Fort Washington Avenue, NY, NY. Mass will be at 6:15 PM at the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 7 State Street, NY, NY. This walk is a total of 13.5 miles and you must register in advance at www.pofnyc.org in order to participate.

PROYECTO DE HOSPITALIDAD VISITA A OLGC Trabajadores bilingües del Proyecto de Hospitalidad estarán presentes después de la Misa en Español los Sábados y Do-mingos este ultimo fin de semana de marzo para ofrecer gratui-tamente a los feligreses un sondeo para beneficios públicos y una breve encuesta de salud. Ellos proporcionan asistencia para aplicación de beneficios como cupones de alimentos, WIC, ayuda para la renta, servicios públicos, ayuda con inmi-gración, consulta legal, preparación de impuestos, asesoría financiera y guía para cuidados de salud.
