ኒዐ - NIA – PURPOSE

ኢማኒ - IMANI – FAITH

ኡሞጀ/UMOJA (Unity) Our hands

are joined together, we work, play

and pray together in peace.

December 27th

ኩጂቻጉሊአ/KUJICHAGULIA

(Self-determination)

Beloved and blessed by the grace

of እግዚአብሔር/Igziabher/God, I will

make up my mind to work hard

and will not cease to work out my

own salvation/destiny.

December 28th ኡጂማ/UJIMA Collective Work & Responsibility

For the good of all, we share the

work, we put our hands together

and do not shirk.

Economics) Brothers and sisters

buy, sell and trade with each other

the things we need. This will

increase our wealth and help us to

succeed.

Make a goal for yourself, start a

plan then help all others to

ኩዑምባ KUUMBA (Creativity)

Draw, paint, write and sing of our

world, which is filled with

beautiful things.

ኢማኒ IMANI (Faith)

I believe in One God (Jah), my

people, myself and honor my

elders above all else.

NGUZO SABA - SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF BLACKNESS

I. ኡሞጀ/UMOJA (Unity) Our hands are joined together, we

work, play and pray together in peace.

II. ኩጂቻጉሊአ/KUJICHAGULIA (Self-determination) Beloved

by Jah and blessed with His grace we will work out our own

salvation/destiny.

III. ኡጂማ /UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility) For

the good of all, we share the work, we put our hands

together and do not shirk.

IV. ኡጃማ/UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics) Brothers and

sisters buy, sell and trade with each other the things we
