The turbocharged M96S and M108S allow you to take on a variety of tasks.
Ideal for hay and cattle operations, these economical machines are also
great for dairy uses, forage, mowing and more. And not only are these new
tractors versatile, they also feature a brand new hood design, which you’ve
probably already noticed, and the M108S boasts cleaner engine emissions,

The engine of the M108S has beenredesigned and reengineered. Ofcourse, it boasts the same durabilityand quality you’ve come to expect fromKubota E-CDIS diesel engines. But,this new turbocharged engine is nowcleaner than ever before, offeringhigher torque and incredible pullingpower. The CRS (Common RailSystem) and Cooled EGR (ExhaustGas Recirculation) System reduceemissions, helping with compliance toU.S. EPA Tier III emissions regulations.We’ve increased horsepower to 108 on the M108S and PTO power from 93to 96HP. These are big changes for abig tractor, and ones you’ll certainlyobserve out in the field.

CRS (Common Rail System)
Typically found in automobiles to help reduce emissions and decrease fuelconsumption, CRS has been implemented on our M108S engine toaccomplish the same results. The CRS electronically controls the timing andamount of fuel injection. By delivering high-pressure injections in stages,rather than all at once, an optimal combustion rate is achieved, thus offeringgreater efficiency in the cylinder. This equates into less combustion noise,commonly known as “diesel knocks”, better fuel efficiency and cleaneremissions. By controlling the amount offuel injection, the CRS also serves toprovide greatertorque so thatoperations in themid-to-highrevolution range,such as baling,can be performedmore smoothly.
Cooled EGR System
Our Cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Systemaims at the same end as the CRS; to reduce noxiousemissions. Specifically, the Cooled EGR System reducessmog-producing nitrogen oxides by lowering thecombustion temperature. It accomplishes this by divertingexhaust gas through a cooler and then returning it to thecombustion chambers, where the cooled gases minimizetemperatures and hamper nitrogen oxide formation.

Put the M96S into gear and you’llimmediately see that this 95horsepower engine will give you allthe strength you need. You’ll feelthis in all applications, butyou’ll especially notice it whenpulling heavy loads. TheM96S’s engine specs alsoboast a PTO output of 84horsepower, low fuelconsumption and it meetsEPA Tier II emissionregulations. Best of all,this engine comesstandard with legendaryKubota reliability.

Swing ShiftOur “Swing Shift” gives you access to a total of 16 speeds! Thesynchronized main shift’s “H” pattern puts four speeds immediately atyour disposal. The Swing Shift adds to that by actuating the electric-over-hydraulic high/low synchronized range shift for a total of eightspeeds—all controlled by a single lever. If a task requires more thaneight speeds, simply move the auxiliary range leverleft of the seat for eight more to equal 16F/16R.An optional, simple-to-install, cassette-typecreep provides eight additional slowerspeeds. That’s 24 speeds—enough for the most demanding and precise work.

Swing Shift Plus with Dual SpeedSwing Shift Plus models give you 32F/32R speeds, and allow you to operate theSwing Shift as well as the Dual Speed with just one lever. Should your load suddenlyget heavier, just push the Dual Speed’s high/low button while still in motion. Yourspeed will reduce by 17%, but lugging force will dramatically increase. Put thisfeature to best use when taking on large load increases, when working in mixed soilor during hay tool applications. Combining the Dual Speed with the optional creepprovides 16 additional slower speeds—a total of 48F/48R—for specialty applications.(Swing Shift Plus with Dual Speed not available on all models. See specs for details.)

Easy Step TiltSteering WheelFind the position mostcomfortable for you. Step onthe pedal; tilt the wheel toselect from among five wheelpositions, and then lock it inplace. Simply step on thepedal again to unlock thewheel for easy tractormounting and dismounting.

Foldable ROPS (ROPS Model)A foldable Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) comesstandard on the M96S and M108S. The ROPS can easilybe folded down without tools so that the tractor may passunder areas with height constraints, such as doorways orlow branches. (There is no operator protection provided bythe ROPS in the folded position. For operator safety, theROPS should be placed in the upright and locked positionand the seat belt fastened for all other operations.)
Slanted Full-open HoodThe slant-nosed, full-open hood design makesmaintenance a snap, as the one-piece hood’s dualgas shock assist enables it to lift up easily. Thisdesign feature also improves operator visibilityover the center of the tractor hood for safer andmore efficient working conditions. The curveddesign also provides a sleeker overall appearance.
Side-mounted Exhaust PipeThe side-mounted exhaust pipe maximizes your fieldof view, allowing you to see more of what’s in frontand to the side of your work area.
The new instrument panel makes viewing the vital functions of thetractor clear and easy. The LCD readout displays travel speed,PTO revolution and hour meter information digitally. Illuminatedanalog indicators include a large tachometer, temperature gaugeand fuel gauge. A battery warning light has also been added tothese tractors to prevent surprise battery failures, as well asindicator lights for 4WD engagement, PTO and oil pressure.

3-point HitchThe category II 3-point hitch provides fast and easyattachment of rear-mounted implements. The hitch’stelescopic stabilizers and lower link ends make hookup and adjustments simple and worry-free.
Auxiliary RemoteControl ValvesOne remote valve (SCD) isstandard on both the M96S andM108S. With the optional flowcontrol valve installed, you cansimultaneously operate the 3-pointhitch and one remote valve, or tworemote valves. Up to three remotevalves can be installed in total.

More Capacity & Greater HeightWe’ve increased the capacity and the maximum liftheight of the loader to give you more power, reachand versatility. The loader’s lifting capacity hasbeen increased to a whopping 3,086 lbs.—perfectfor heavy-duty bucket work. The loader’s maximumheight was raised to over 12ft, which will come inhandy when using a pallet fork or bale spear.
4-bar LinkageThe 4-bar bucket linkage increasesthe rollback and dumping angle forquicker scooping and dumping.
Joystick ControlThe joystick offers you the ability to control themovement and speed of the loader with a single lever.The joystick tower also adjusts vertically, towards oraway from the operator, and locks in place. Thisallows you to easily find your best working position.The Series Circuit makes simultaneous boom andbucket operation possible, while the RegenerativeBucket Dump Circuit enables quick dumping forefficient operation with quick cycle times.
Rubber CapsRubber caps help to prevent grease drips,keeping the operator’s clothes clean. Theyalso give the loader a more appealing look.
Bucket DesignA recent design improvement in the loaderbucket is its round back. This feature increasesthe durability of the bucket, helps keep wetmaterials from sticking in the corners andmakes dumping sand and soil easier.
Kubota Shockless Ride (KSR)The KSR helps to minimize fatigueby “smoothing out” the ride of thetractor. This feature is particularlyuseful when your tasks include a lotof tight turns or lifting and dumpingof heavy loads. It makes handlinground bales far less jarring.
Protected Cylinder TubesTo protect the tractor’s hydraulicsand offer the operator greatervisibility, we’ve neatly tucked thehydraulic tubes inside the loader’sboom. Hydraulic tube coversprovide further protection fromwear and tear.
Frame DesignThe loader’s thick steel frame hasbeen simplified by removingbraces and connectors. Thisredesign reduces the effort andtime it takes to attach the loaderand offers increased visibility.

Lifting Power and Height AdjustmentsTwo separate boom cylinder fulcrum points (Powerposition and Height position) give you the option toincrease the loader’s lifting power or height basedon your needs. Quick-mount Attach/DetachAttach or detach the front loader with ease andwithout the use of tools. Simply utilize the boom standand mounting pins to quickly ready your tractor for itsnext job. A single-lever Hydraulic Quick Coupler(optional), available for the loader’s hydraulic fittings,allows you to release all four lines at once.

LOADER SPECIFICATIONS
Single-lever Hydraulic Quick CouplerThe optional quick coupler allowsthe operator to attach all four hosesat once. This makes attaching anddetaching fast and easy, even whenyou’re doing it often.
