KROHNE: the largest and most accurate

calibration facility

Accuracy and reproducibility are important parts of a flowmeter’s quality

characteristics. Every instrument leaving the factory is subjected to wet

calibration by direct volume comparison. This calibration method is the

most accurate one for volumetric flowmeters. The calibration of each

meter is certified by an individual calibration certificate.

KROHNE provides a comprehensive range of Ultrasonic flowmeters that provide a measurement solution for virtually any application.

The three measuring beams of UFM 3030 generate a 3-dimensional cross-section of the medium's velocity distribution, or flow profile, through the measuring tube. These measuring beams are positioned such that measurement is effectively independent of the flow profile.

Major performance improvements have been achieved by applying innovative electronics in combination with Digital Signal Processing (DSP). This results in stable and reliable measurements. The meter is therefore more accurate and less sensitive to changes in the flow profile, solids or entrained air. The UFM 3030 is a universal meter for a very broad range of applications.

The innovative converter electronics is available with all inline liquid flowmeters.

OPTIMASS is the high tech family of Coriolis mass flowmeters from KROHNE.

The new family of meters overcomes many of the constraints traditionally associated with Coriolis meters and at the same time improves on the measurement accuracy available with this technology.

KROHNE level products are found in all industries, storage and process tanks. Silos, in Ex areas, onshore and offshore as well as on tanker ships, road and rail transporters.

Wide range of applications

Implementation of various measuring principles, advanced technology and rigid quality control have produced measuring instruments that guarantee high accuracy even under extreme operating conditions. Their applications extend from liquid sulphur at 140°C (284°F) to the storage of liquified gases; from tanks on ocean-going ships to storage and process tanks in nuclear power stations.

Applications under difficult circumstance, e.g. at an operation pressure of 400bar (5800psig) can be solved with KROHNE products as well as ordinary ones. In all cases, our measuring instruments combine high accuracy, reliability, and economy.

Many devices are PACTware ready and are supplied ex factory with the appropriate DTM (Device Type Manager). A DTM is a device driver making available the device

functionality independent from the FIELDBUS protocol and providing a graphical user interface optimized for device operation and configuration.
