TNSCST SPONSORED TWO DAY NATIONAL LEVEL WORKSHOP

ON

RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN AUTOMATION AND INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION V4.0

19th & 20th July 2019

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of KPR Institute of Engineering and

Technology conducted the TNSCST Sponsored Two Day National Level Workshop on “Recent

Advancements in Automation and Industrial Revolution V4.0” on 19th & 20th July 2019.

Mr. C.J. Vignesh, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, KPR Institute of Engineering and

Technology welcomed the gathering and the Head of the Department, Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan,

Department of EEE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, felicitated the function,

Dr. K. Bommanna Raja, Principal, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, also delivered

the felicitation address and Dr. A.M. Natarajan, Chief Executive, KPR Institute of Engineering

and Technology presided over the function. The resource person for the workshop was

Er. Dinesh Ponnuswamy, Managing Partner, Sai Incubation Centre, Coimbatore delivered the

lecture on Outlook of Industrial Revolution in the morning session. Then the resource person

gave the brief explanation about the Recent Advancements and Researches in Industries which

was very much helpful to the participants for their research work. He gave many ideas on how to

proceed the research work with the help of Hardware and Software tools. Another resource

person for the workshop was Er. Karthik Soundararajan, Managing Partner, ADNA Automation,

Coimbatore delivered the lecture on Introduction and Scope for Automation in Industrial

Applications in the afternoon session. They shared their research and field experience of

Automation process and made the session very interactive, also the queries from the participants

and solutions for the same were discussed. On the next day, Er. Dinesh Ponnuswamy, Managing

Partner, Sai Incubation Centre, Coimbatore handled the technical session on Regression analysis

on Industrial Data and Programming on Python in the morning session. Another resource person

Er. P. Suresh Kumar, CEO, AGNA Inc., Coimbatore, delivered the session on Relevance to

Industries in Coimbatore and Employment Opportunities in the field of Automation in the

afternoon session. Nearly 70 participants from various colleges attended the workshop. The

co-ordinators of the program Mr. C.J. Vignesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical &

Electronics Engineering, Mr. T. Jagadesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical &

Electronics Engineering and Ms. R. Revathi, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Department of Electrical

& Electronics Engineering made all the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the

program. The workshop was concluded with the feedback session and certificate distribution to

the participants. Mr. T. Jagadesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronics

Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology delivered the vote of thanks.
