Virtual Bobcat Cheer Tryouts: Bobcat Cheer tryouts

are coming up! All paperwork for tryouts is due Friday,

On May 5, 1862, during the Franco-Mexican

War, an out-numbered and ill-equipped Mexi-

can army defeated the French in the Battle of

Puebla. Although the battle did not win the

war for Mexico, it did become a symbol of

pride and victory.

Although Cinco de May is commemorated in

Mexico, particularly in the state of Puebla, it is

celebrated more widely in the United States.

It is much more than a day to eat tacos. Cinco

de Mayo is a day to learn about and celebrate

Mexican culture and traditions.

ANUNCIOS DE 8º GRADO:

Pruebas de alegría virtuales: ¡Se acercan las

pruebas de alegría de Bobcat! Todos los documentos

para las pruebas se deben entregar el 8 de mayo.

También habrá una reunión de padres esa noche a

las 6:30 pm a través de Zoom. Si no recibió un

paquete de prueba antes del cierre de la escuela y

todavía está interesado en animar a AHS, envíe un cor-

Unidos. Es mucho más que un día para comer

tacos. Cinco de Mayo es un día para aprender y

celebrar la cultura y las tradiciones mexicanas.
