Purpose
• revise Key Stage 3 in order to:– develop skills and competencies relevant to the re-
designed 14-19 Curriculum– use these skills and competencies to establish learning
across the curriculum– develop a coherent personal development curriculum,
20% of time in years 7 and 8– use the personal development curriculum time in year 9
to change the pedagogical experience in preparation for the diplomas
– incorporate functional skills and PLTS
