We as pre-primary facilitators help to nur- ture and develop the knowledge, abilities and social skills of children between the ages of two and six years and help to pre- pare them for Middle school education. Looking forward for my new block in which we are coming up with new infra- structure for activities like dance, music, yoga, art & craft , sculpture, library, gym & activity room. I am Gagandeep Kaur. I am heading Junior wing in Khaitan Pub- lic School, Sahibabad. I believe that “The best teachers are those who show where to look, but don‟t tell you what to see.” I am a passionate and hardworking person, love to be with pre - primary children. I have completed my B.Com from Delhi University, Bachelor’s in Teaching and School Management from Knowledge Tree Academy Mother’s Pride; B.Ed from MDU in 2013-14; currently I am pursuing Diploma in Montessori Method of Education from Modern Montessori International (London). I have an experience of 7 yrs with Mother’s Pride school (Anand Vi- har) where I started my journey as a teacher in 2006. At Mother’s Pride, I explored how vast, teaching pre - primary can be and was promoted as an Academic Head (Vivek Vihar). I further started trainings in different branches of Mother’s Pride regard- ing Curriculum, execution of activi- ties, Parent handling, Time manage- ment, Classroom management etc. and finally was promoted as Branch Head (Sahibabad Branch). Since, I have com- pleted 14 months in Khaitan Public School, my each day is a day of learning, full of experiences under the constant guid- ance of Mr. Anirudh Khaitan (Vice Chairman) and Ms. Geeta Varshneya (Education Direc- tor). My vision for pre – pri- mary is to take it to the next level. I am working towards the execution of the curricu- lum in an innovative way. Grooming the facilitators of my department where they can make classrooms livelier, and stress on each activity to be conducted in play way method is given top priority. I am up- dating myself constantly with the changes in the curriculum and developments in best practices. I along with my facilitators strive to provide a safe and stimulating environ- ment that facilitates learning. Torie Jerries enthusiastically par-

ticipated in the free-hand drawing activity.

They made clouds, huts and trees on sheets of

paper and coloured them beautifully. The

budding artists had a field day.

Learning Outcome - Enhancement of imagi-

nation skills

Students of Class II started their new IPC theme "All dressed

up" by dressing up the dolls. They were enthusiastic and excit-

ed about the activity. They used old clothes and dressed their

dolls beautifully. They learnt about different types of clothes

and how a dress is designed, by this activity.

Learning Outcome - Enhanced creativity skills.

Kids of Pre-Nursery had put up a great

‘Fashion Show.’ They dressed up beauti-

fully and walked the ramp with confi-

dence. Watch out Mr. and Miss Universe!

Class II performed a li-

brary activity named

‘WORD SCRABBLE

FUN.‟ They were given a

long word and were asked

to make 10 words out of it.

They were allowed to use

only those alphabets which

were present in the given

word. The class enjoyed the

activity a lot.

Learning Outcome - vo-

cabulary empowerment.

Play Group to Prep celebrated Christmas with great zest. The

little ones looked gorgeous in vibrant red/white attires. They had

a gala time at the Christmas party. They danced and ate chips

along with muffins. The students enjoyed, making stockings,

cakes, candles, bells, etc. with chart papers, glitters, colours and

cotton. All of them were very enthusiastic and enjoyed a lot.

Class I D presented an assembly on the topic

„Natural Resources‟. They presented a won-

derful street play stressing on the optimum use

of the resources.

Learning Outcome - „SAVE WATER‟ &

„SAVE ELECTRICITY‟.

Class I A presented a musical & colourful assembly on the

topic „Healthy Food‟. Students emphasized on the im-

portance of a balanced diet to keep fit and healthy. The

proverb ‘A sound mind resides in a sound body’ was reit-

erated by the students in a unique way. It was a gripping

assembly.

Learning Outcome - Awareness about Healthy food.

Timon Cuckoos (Prep C) present-

ed a class assembly on 9th Decem-

ber, 2014 on the topic „Animal

Kingdom.‟ Kids looked smart and

confident in their vibrant attires.

They performed on a song ‘Jungle

Fever‟ and spoke few lines about

national animal and the national

bird of India. It was an informative

assembly.

about different animals of our

Class I C presented an assembly on the topic ‘India’s Herit-

age’. Children performed on the stage, folk dances of different

states like Maharashtra - Lavani, Punjab - Bhangra, Guja-

rat - Dandiya. They looked beautiful in colourful attires. It was

an enjoyable assembly.

Learning Outcome - They learned about various dances,

dresses & culture of different states.

Little angels of Torie Kitties presented a dance drama on

Christmas to spread the message of love and sacrifice. The

students also performed on the songs- ‘Brown girl in the

Ring’, ‘Jingle bell Jingle bell’, ‘By the river of Babylon’

etc. They looked beautiful in their vibrant attires. The audi-

ence enjoyed the assembly to the hilt.

Torie Jerries presented a special assembly on

the theme ‘Children are Special.’ The tiny tots

spoke a few lines about the political leaders of

India. They sang the song ‘bachche man ke

sachche‟ with enthusiasm. It was a heart

warming assembly.

Students of Class II gave a delightful presentation on the theme A to B, that is TRANS-

PORTATION.

The young learners shared information about ‘transportation’ in a unique manner—through

PPTs, charts, skit and song. Parents present in the event were filled with pride to see their

wards speaking confidently on stage.

Guest Speaker Progarmme organized for Tories on 1st December, 2014 for Class -

Nursery. The topic was „Our Helpers‟. The guest speaker was Ms. Gurpreet

Kaur . This informative session was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids and they got

to learn a lot about people who help them live a comfortable life.

Kids of class I and 2 created magic with crayons, with different

shades of colours on new topics - „Diwali scene‟, „Party scene‟,

„Vegetable tray‟, „Circus scene‟ etc. This activity has helped to

enhance their creativity, imagination and their aesthetic sense.

SPEECH & DRAMA PROGRAMME

Welcome to the world of joyful learning! Helen O’ Grady International

provides a unique self development programme for children of all age

groups. It is the only programme of its kind in the world which uses

the medium of drama to teach communication skills to children. The main objectives that are

achieved through this unique and truly international curriculum are effective English speak-

ing skills; confidence- building among children; an increase in their self-esteem through mo-
