Use a size 11 sharp sewingneedle in the machine rather thanan embroidery needle.

A sharp sewing needle is thebest choice when embroideringin-the-hoop designs.

Load the full embroidery file (nota dieline file) to your embroiderymachine.

Attach the hoop, and beginembroidering the design.

Reference the color changesheet for the design as you stitch. That sheet tells you what isstitched in each step.

CC1 is a dieline, or outline stitch, that traces the shape for the frontfabric pieces.

After the outline has stitched, spray the back of the front fabricand stabilizer piece withtemporary adhesive.

Place that right inside the sewndieline.

Continue embroidering thedesign.

The next thing to stitch is a tackdown or zigzag stitch. This bindsthe fabric piece to the stabilizer.

Other elements of the design willsew. Keep referencing the colorchange sheet as you stitch.

When you see the step on thecolor change sheet that says"back piece tack down" stop themachine.

Remove the hoop and turn itover.

Do not remove the stabilizer fromthe hoop.

Spray the backside of the backfabric and stabilizer piece with abit of temporary adhesive.

Place that fabric and stabilizerpiece on the back of theembroidery, right inside thedieline.

The next steps will be seen fromboth sides of the keychain.

Wind a bobbin with the samethread that's used in the top.

Attach the hoop to the machineand continue embroidering thedesign.

A tack down or zigzag stitch willsew, binding the layers together. And finally, a satin stitch finish.

After the design has finished, unhoop the stabilizer and gentlytear it away.

Some keychain designs have apocket for lipstick or chapstick.

The back piece is seen from bothsides, so an extra step is takenwhen preparing that fabric andstabilizer piece.

Spray temporary adhesive on thewrong sides of two pieces offabric.

Place a piece of cutawaystabilizer on one of the fabricpieces, and smooth it down.
