What is an oral history?

Oral history is the systematic collection of living people's testimony about their own experiences.

Capturing people’s experiences, memories, and stories in their own words visually and auditory

What is our mission?

The preservation and collection of all items related to the History of Santa Ana and Orange County.

Santa Ana is very diverse our goal is to conduct oral histories to capture all elements of Santa Ana history

I volunteered in the Santa Ana History Room with the intent to preserve history but I found myself learning how to make it instead.

Ended up working in the History Room mentoring Teenagers

Even if they don’t study history, I want to encourage them to pursue their passions.
