Gesa Promotion— Ring in the New Year as part of Gesa’s new promotion. If you open a Gesa Student checking account, you can receive $100! Come by the branch and open your account! All you have to do is sign up for mobile and online banking to qualify. This doesn’t apply to current Gesa mem-bers. Only one $100 incentive per person. This promotion is for a lim-ited time only and other conditions apply. For more info, come to the Gesa Branch on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays.
Math End of Course (EOC) Test The Math EOC (Algebra and Geometry) will be given on Tuesday, February 7th, in the Lions’ Den. Students need to show up at 7:45 am or check in and will be excused from class for peri-ods 1-3 or until finished. This test is for juniors and seniors who have not met the state mini-mum standard for math. This test is required for graduation and so is a mandatory test for those
scheduled to take it. Students needing to take this test will receive a flyer; they can also check the names posted in the hallways in the next few days or check with Mrs. Flora or their counselor. Students in Ms. Davey’s 1t Hour COE Algebra will take this test in class. Students should ask their math teacher if they have questions about content or Ms. Wood regarding questions about testing. ESD123 Annual Art Show—is coming soon. If your student is interested in enter their artwork, please pick up an entry form from Mrs. Ard and/or Mr. Larson. Artwork will need to be submitted to Mrs. Ard by Monday, February 13th. That only gives two weeks to finish artwork—so enter soon!

Career Center News–The Career Center will be open every Thursday at lunch for the month of February for students interested in schol-arship and application help. Come meet Ms. Matthews and stop by and get a jump start on college! Students interested in Career Exploration, please sign up to
take the ASVAB on Wednesday, February 8th. Lourdes will be awarding six $1,500 scholarships to local high
school students interested in the Health Field American Indian Tribe in Washington scholarship opportunities. Tri-Cities Girls Softball Association Scholarship is open for sub-
mission. Washington State Opportunity Scholarship is open for applica-
tions. This is for seniors with a 2.7 GPA or higher that are inter-ested in science, math, engineering, technology or health ca-reers.

KSD Migrant/Bilingual Department Presents Planting Hope on Saturday, February 4th at Park Mid-dle School from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with childcare.
Cancer Spirit Week—is next week. Each day we will focus on a different type of cancer and the color of ribbon associated with the cancer. Monday will be brain cancer awareness—Gray; Tuesday is Bone Can-cer—yellow; Wednesday is Lung Cancer—white; Thursday is Melanoma—black; Friday is Kidney/Leukemia—orange. Also, look for leadership students carrying containers to donate your loose change. This is a class competition and all money that is raised will be directly donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
