INTRODUCTION TO MILLING

A common machining process used in material manufacturing

Customized solid material can be designed and created

Consist of a milling machine, workpiece, fixture, and cutter

Can be manually operated, mechanically automated or digitally automated via Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
