    OVERVIEW

    product: Yoo-Hoo Chocolate Drink

    target group: people ages 18-26

    Brief History:

    Yoo-Hoo is an American chocolate beverage. Yoo-Hoo

    originated in New Jersey in 1926. In the 1940s, a

    bottling plant was opened in South Carolina. Throughout

    man years, Yoo-Hoo has gone through many hands of ownership

    including B.B.C. Industries in the 1950s, Iroquois Brandsin 1976, a group of private investors in 1981, Pernod Ricard

    in 1989, and Cadbury-Schweppes since 2001. Production

    responsibilities fall under CSs Motts group, and marketing and

    advertising responsibilities under Snapple. This led to an

    increased awareness of the product. Since the split of

    Cadbury-Schweppes in 2008, Yoo-Hoo is now part of the

    Dr. Pepper Snapple group.

    currently, Yoo-Hoos product label has been used for years without an

    update. Wouldnt it be refreshing to see a label that appeals to

    younger people? Wouldnt it be cool to see something on the shelf t

    hat looked as good as it tasted? By designing a new label for Yoo-Hoo,

    the product will appealto more people, giving them a sense of nostalgia

    and comfort in purchasing something that looks new.

    so that it would appeal to younger people while keeping the old look to also

    appeal to those who have loved Yoo-Hoo for decades.
