Are you interested in research into childbirth and/or reproductive health? Join Katie’s Team! Are you interested in research to improve the health of pregnant women and unborn children, or in reproductive health? Would you like to help us improve the treatment of women, mothers and their babies? The Katherine Twining Network conducts research on topics such as pre-term birth, pre-eclampsia, epilepsy in pregnancy, infertility, chronic pelvic pain, treatment options during Caesarean Section, and nutrition in pregnancy. How can you get involved? We need you - to help us develop the best research, for the best treatment that women and unborn children can get. We would like to create an advisory group of parents, parents-to-be and those with an interest in reproductive health. We would like to hear your views on our research questions, materials to recruit patients and to help us share our research with the public – whatever you feel you would like to contribute to. You don’t need to have any special knowledge – we would simply like to hear about your views and experiences. What is the Katherine Twining Network? We are a research group based in East London, hosted by the Women’s Health Research Unit at QMUL (Queen Mary University of London). We conduct high quality national and international studies into pregnancy, childbirth and reproductive health issues. The Network was established in 2011 in honour of Katherine Twining, the first matron and founder of Plaistow Maternity Hospital (now part of Newham University Hospital). Want to find out more?
