From our Pastor

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has

been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make

disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Fa-

ther and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all

that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the

end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB)

June will be a month full of Great commission activities.

Beginning on Sunday, June 3rd, small groups will restart with re-

viewing unit 8 of Experiencing God. We will meet in our original

groups. If you were not part of the original Experiencing God

study we invite you to join us in June. New books and materials

will be available for new participants.

On the next day, June 4th, the Ukraine Mission Team will

be leaving for the mountains of Ukraine. An English camp will be

held for the children of Luhe. As we teach the children we will

share Christ with them through various activities. We also hope to

meet with parents and witness as God gives the opportunity.

Just a few days after the Ukraine team gets back, the Youth

will leave for MissionFuge in South Carolina. They will be working

with neighborhood children in a disadvantaged are of Charleston as

well as assisting churches in a variety of ways.

At the end of the month the Guatemala Team leaves for the

City of Refuge to participate in numerous ministries. The main

effort will be to show the love of Christ.

As we disciple, help, witness, and teach please pray for the

power of the Holy Spirit to be evident as we join God in His work,

locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Ukraine Mission Trip is June 4th-12th.

Men’s Breakfast Meet-up at Stagg’s Deli is Friday, June 8th at

6:00 am.

The Witt Family will host an 80th Birthday Party for Densel

Saturday, June 9th from 2-4 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Dress is

casual. No gifts please.

The Finance Committee and Deacons will meet Sunday,

June 10th.

Our Church Conference is Wednesday, June 20th at 6:30 pm.

Meals On Wheels Week is June 25th-29th.

The Gridiron Men’s Conference is June 15th-16th.

The Walkers will host a SALT Swimming Party and Lunch

Tuesday, June 26th at 11:00 am. Please bring a covered dish.

The Guatemala Mission Trip is June 30-July 5th.

Men’s Prayer Time is 6:00 am every Friday in the Fellowship

Hall.

The Guatemala Mission Team is requesting the following items

to take to the City of Refuge in Guatemala where we will be

ministering: Parent’s Choice Baby Formula from Wal-Mart,

diapers, baby food, Spanish Bibles, tiny toys to give away, travel size

soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Tylenol or Advil (for adults or

children). Look for the Guatemala Mission Trip Box in the Ready Room.
