Mission Statement

• Founded by Zada M. Cooper on May 13, 1921

• Established to unite women in pharmacy • Now encourage male members also

• Support personal and professional development, provide networking opportunities, and promoting pharmacy as a career.

• National Projects • Breast Cancer Awareness • PharmCORP

Membership • Growing chapter, currently

around 50 members (Wichita has 12 members)

• Recruited 22 new members in the fall (Wichita recruited 3 members in the fall)

• Membership Requirements • Must attend a pledging ceremony • After pledging period, members

attend an initiation ceremony where they become an official member

• Attend monthly meetings and events

National Projects- Breast Cancer Awareness

•Breast Cancer Fashion Show

•Pink Bake Sale

• Raised around $200 dollars

•Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer • Donated Spa Basket

•Volunteered at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

• Brought high school students and their parents to the pharmacy school • Lab activities

• Raised around $300 for the American Heart Association

• Handed out heart healthy recipes to students and faculty

• Conversation Hearts

• Organization which donates shoes to families in need

critically ill children

• Harvesters • Food Bank in Kansas City

• Relay for Life • Raised over $730 as a team for the

American Cancer Society

• Rainbows United • Organization enhances the lives of

children with special needs. • Volunteered for GLOW Run/Walk
