Kannada Rajyotsava (Kannada: ಕನಡ ರಜ ತವ; Karnataka Formation Day; literally "Birth of

the Karnataka state") is celebrated on 1 November every year.

This was the day in 1! when all the Kannada lan#$a#e%s&eakin# re#ions of 'o$th

ndia were mer#ed to form the state of Karnataka.

the ,overnment of Karnataka- hoistin# of the $nofficial Karnataka fla# with an address from

the hief /inister  and ,overnor 0! of the state alon# with comm$nity festivals-orchestra- Kannada

book releases and concerts.

The State Govt announces Rajyotsava awards every year, which is given

to people who have contributed to the Karnataka state.
