    Overall Analysis

I expected her to go on a lot of trips because of the genre on

the book. At the same time I didn’t know what to expect because

I’ve never read a book from this author. I enjoyed reading thebook because she had a very interesting life. The one thing that

motivated me to read to the end was the event that happened in

her life. he was highly complex. The story was entertaining and

informative. !earning about her life was entertaining and not only

did the book talk about the trips she went on but it also talked

    about the great depression" #exican $evolution" and %orld %ar I.

The book overall wasn’t di&cult to read. There was a couple of

words I did have to look up because I didn't understand thesentence without it. I don’t think there were any words outdated

but just words i had never heard before.

bed rest with ,nishing her high school education. he married

-iego $ivera twice by thirty. -ivorced him for the last time ,ve

years before her death of painkiller overdose. There were only

three four major characters in the book and they were )rida ahlo"

frida’s husband -iego $ivera" her mother #atilde" and father

/uillermo ahlo. The main setting took place in *oyoac0n"

#exico. The other places went to was an )rancisco" 1ew 2ork"

-etroit and 3aris. The book had several themes" but the one that

comes to mind ,rst would be fear.
