Justification The story’ Goldilocks and the three bears’ is very suitable for children to read and listen to. I chose this story due it suited in theme from the KSSR curriculum. The theme that I selected was World of Stories. This theme was flexible since almost everything can be integrated with it. For example, my main focus choosing this story in this particular theme was to enhance children pronunciations. As the targeted group was Year 2, I think this story was very suitable to teach pronunciation. This story consists of many repetitions so it was good for children to learn how to pronounce certain words correctly. It will be clearly seen the repetitions of words that want to focus when the story was adapted into script. For example the words “chair” for the sound “ch” , “Porridge” for the sound “p” and “Bed” for the sound “b”. Furthermore, the length of the story was not too long so that the Year 2 children will be manages to read the story easily. Indirectly, it will motivate the children in reading since they have managed to finish the story. Since the length of the story was not too long, it will easy for children in adapting the story into scripts. For example, we were having script writing activity. So, for Year 2 children this story was the best. Moreover, the vocabulary used in this story was simple. Yet, teacher needs to introduce new vocabulary to the children.
