Junior Podiatrist Chiropody.co.uk is part of the Tx Group, a privately owned network which provides health and education therapy services in the North West of England. Chiropody.co.uk is a leading provider of private podiatry/ chiropody care, treating a wide range of complaints related to the foot and lower limb. We offer immediate access to our services and work as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure the best possible care is being delivered to all our patients in a comfortable and welcome setting. We have an exciting opportunity for a junior podiatrist to join our team in Manchester on a full time basis. The position will predominantly be based in one of our two central Manchester clinics however the role will also involve attending occasional home visits. We provide a friendly and supportive learning environment for our junior employees; offering a competency programme and regular supervision meetings with senior podiatrists who can help provide guidance and develop your skills. On a day to day basis you can expect duties to include providing routine podiatry treatments, nail surgery, cryotherapy and PACT antifungal therapy to clients, as well as completing various administrative duties linked to development of the service. There are also opportunities to develop your skills in the provision of nail reconstruction and delivery of biomechanical services, so an interest in this would be beneficial.

Due to the possibility of home visits, it would be preferable for applicants to hold a driving licence and have access to a car.

The ideal candidate The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
• BSc Hons Podiatry (2:2 and above) • HCPC Registered • SCPOD registered • Competent in the use of local anaesthetic • Enhanced DBS check
Our ideal candidate will be a personable and confident podiatrist with good clinical knowledge and the skills to independently treat a range of podiatry complaints. They will be specifically trained in CPR and anaphylaxis and committed to continuous professional development. They will be passionate and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and will use their initiative in the pursuit of development. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be capable of creating a good rapport with clients, as well as good working relationships with other multidisciplinary team members. They will be reliable, flexible, highly organised and able to prioritise their workload appropriately.
