this weekend: Psalms
#GenerousLifeinChrist
We hear bits and pieces of them during the year. We read
the 23rd when we are struggling and in need of comfort.
But what is the book of Psalms all about?
It is poetry– songs– that express the fullness of human emo-
tions. This week, the 100th Psalm is all about making a joy-
ful noise. Next week, we’ll hear a lament Psalm. They also
have some of the most quotable things in Scripture– The
Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want. Thy word is a lamp
unto my feet and a light unto my path. Make a joyful noise
unto the Lord all the earth!
We will spend 5 weeks hearing from this special book– it’s
encouragement, it’s witness and it’s realness.
Mighty God, we give you thanks for the witness of the
Psalms which gives us words for our feelings. All of our ex-
periences belong to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lower Level Classroom Expansion—UPDATE! After hearing
about our growing Sunday school and Parent's Day Out,
two members of our congregation offered an above and
beyond gift of $3500 with a challenge that the congregation
and PDO families match it. Gifts should be considered above
and beyond regular giving.
WE HAVE RAISED $2825!
LAST WEEK TO DONATE!
I'm in...what do I do? Put your additional offering in an
envelope clearly marked- Classroom Expansion and mail to
Karen or put in the offering plate.
I want to help but can't give a donation...watch for sign
ups to help paint, move furniture and other hands on
tasks. And don't forget to pray for all of the families who
will be blessed through the ministries of PDO and Sunday
School. Questions? Contact Pastor Trudy:
Coming this summer — What’s your 500?
Could you walk 500 more steps a day? Read a 500 page
book? Write 500 words of gratitude? Work up to 500 push
ups a week? 500 Random acts of kindness by the people in
your family?
