ABOUTRecruiteX is the recruitment index for India. It is an analysis identifying the hiring activity and trends in India Inc. Based on tactful extraction and examination of jobs posted and applied for in a month, it details ‘recruitment’ as a process backed by hiring sentiments of a recruiter and aspirations of a job seeker.
METHODOLOGYRecruiteX represents the demand aspects of recruitment. Demand for talent is computed by factoring activities of recruiters on TimesJobs.com. This demand is integrated with numbers collected by our offline team and then segregated according to top industry verticals, functional areas and locations. The base value for the index has been kept
at 100 for the month of December 2010. All RecruiteX values for subsequent months represent the trend of RecruiteX viz-a-viz December 2010.RecruiteX, in its most comprehensible format, is aimed to provide a detailed insight of the recruitment market in India to employers, recruiters and job seekers alike.

TALENT demand was stable during June 2016, reveals the latest RecruiteX - the recruitment index by
TimesJobs.com. Construction and real estate were the top hiring sectors during June 2016. Logistics, petrochemicals, IT/telecom and BFSI also hired
significantly during the month. Business management/consultants, hospitality, logistics and BFSI professionals reported significant rise in demand. IT/telecom and engineering profiles too witnessed a rise in demand. Among key locations, Bengaluru and Pune posted maximum rise in demand. Ahmedabad and Indore
were the top hiring tier II locations. Among states, Maharashtra (except Mumbai and Pune) posted 5 per cent rise in demand. Hiring gained momentum for experienced professionals while it dropped for freshers. Candidates having over 20 years of experience posted highest rise in talent demand in June 2016.

n Real estate registered highest (7%) rise in hiring during June 2016. Since May 2016 the sector has posted an average 2 per cent rise.
n Construction sector posted 6 per cent rise in demand. Logistics sector reported a rise of 4 per cent in talent demand.

During June 2016, demand grew across key functional areas. Business management
and consultants were the most in-demand profiles during the month
RECRUITMENT TREND BY FUNCTION
n Business management/consultants reported 21 per cent rise in demand. The profile saw a rise of 7 per cent since May.
n Hospitality professionals witnessed 12 per cent rise. The profile has reported rise after three consecutive months of slowdown.
n Logistics and BFSI professionals saw 11 per cent rise in demand and IT/telecom witnessed 10 per cent rise.
