AmeliaMakenzie ZerafaTERRITORY-LOVERS Nicholas
Zerafa and Laura Still will
be making their way back to
Darwin with a new addition.
Amelia Makenzie Zerafa,
born in Melbourne on April 15,
will be raised as a Darwinite.
Nicholas spent seven years
in Darwin with the military and
Laura did her nursing training
at the Royal Darwin Hospital.
The couple is eager to
return after their stint in
Victoria.
Amelia weighed in at
4.35kg and 52.5cm. The
photo was sent in by first-time
grandparents Anne and Mario
Zerafa.
Mikayla Summer JonesTHE JONESES have added
a new member to the family
farm. Little Mikayla Summer
was born on June 2 at 3.41pm.
Mum Evelyn couldn’t find
the words to describe the
feeling of being a mother for
the first time.
“It’s just the best,” she said.
The family lives on a large
block at Humpty Doo, and dad
Jaysin said they will definitely
get Mikayla some pets.
“Heaps of pets — ducks,
dogs; anything,” he said.
The family would like to
thank Dr Miller and his team at
Darwin Private Hospital.
Mikayla weighed in at
3.58kg, and measured 51.5cm
Hannah Jane HandleyTOMMO’S Pies stocks were
running low during Andria
Handley’s pregnancy with
baby Hannah Jane.
“I don’t normally eat pies but
while I was pregnant, I couldn’t
get enough of them,” she said.
“All it was was the Ned Kelly
pie from Tommo’s — it is so
good.”
First-born Isabella smothers
her little sister in kisses.
Hannah was born on June
4 at 2pm. She weighed 2.7kg
and measured 48cm.
Mia Rose Walsh LITTLE Mia Rose Walsh
caused a spot of bother for her
motorbike-riding mum Alicia
Catlin.
Mia was out in minutes after
her heart rate dropped and
doctors decided the time had
come for her to meet mum.
As the first baby for Alicia
and husband Jayson Walsh,
Mia with her father’s big eyes
is sure to be the darling of the
motorcross track when she’s
old enough to get on a bike.
“She’ll be a tough kid,”
Alicia said.
With Jayson driving heavy
vehicles, Alicia reckons Mia will
take after her dad and drive a
truck one day.
Mia was born on June 10 at
11.53am, weighing 3.55kg and
measuring 48cm.
Oliver Tidswell THE Tidswell family now have
a dilemma on their hands.
Which football code will little
Oliver play AFL or soccer?
Mum Suzanne, who is from
the Czech Republic, wants her
little boy to play soccer, while
dad Joshua wants him to play
AFL.
“I guess we’ll get him into
both and then let him decide,”
Joshua said. “Everything’s
very exciting. He’s our first
child and he was born 3weeks
premature so we’re only now
going home.”
Oliver, who is the first
grandchild on the maternal
side, was born on May 7 at
8.21am.
He tipped the scales at
1.89kg and measured 44cm.
Indi May West THE West family is smitten
with its newest arrival, Indi May
West.
Indi is the second child to
Paul and Kristy West, and
Indi’s big sister Alyssa, 19
months, has been eagerly
awaiting her arrival.
Mum and Dad would like
to thank all the staff at Darwin
Private Hospital, especially
Dr Stephen O’Callaghan, and
their midwife Joy Edwards for
all their support.
Little Indi May was delivered
by the stork on May 28th at
11.07am. She weighed 3.57kg
and measured 51.5cm.
Ayla Marie JohnstonNEW father Tim Johnston said
it wouldn’t sink in that he was
a parent until daughter Ayla
Marie is 18, and he is chasing
off her boyfriends.
On the other side of the
coin, he said seeing his first
child was “fantastic, great,
sensational”.
“She now is the official HRT
mascot for this weekend,” he
said.
Ayla is the first grandchild
on both sides of the family.
Tim and partner Marie
Johnson thank Dr Miller and
DPH staff. Born on June 15,
Ayla was 3.6kg and 53.5cm.
Sidney May MooreGONE Fishin’ will be a sign
commonly displayed on
the front door of the Moore
family’s home.
Mum Jenie said husband
Daniel and the family would
definitely get into the NT
pastime.
“She will grow up a Territory
kid.”
Sidney is the couple’s first
child.
“It’s really surreal — and she
was a quick delivery and an
early arrival,” Jenie said.
Sidney was born on June
3 at 5.06am, weighed 3.24kg,
and measured 50.5cm.
Abby Bautista SabayTHE Sabay family is
celebrating, after the birth of
baby Abby Bautista.
Mum Agnes and dad Luis
are rapt about their little angel
— the couple’s second.
Agnes said Abby’s big
sister Sophia was a very proud
sibling.
“She is only two, but she
knew what was happening,”
Agnes said. “Sophia is giving
Abby lots and lots of kisses
and cuddles.”
Abby was born on May 23 at
12.19pm. She weighed 3.55kg
and measured 49cm.
Brodie Kenzie McCallBRODIE Kenzie McCall
already has everyone wrapped
around her little finger. She is
adored by older sister Jessie,
3, and brother Riley, 2, who
show their love and affection
for their little sister every
chance they get.
Joyful parents Vanessa
and Ernie McCall were told
they would never be able to
conceive a child naturally.
Jessie and Riley were
conceived through IVF, which
Vanessa says was a long and
emotional journey.
So it was a complete
surprise discovering her
pregnancy without IVF.
Brodie was born on May 4
at 1.16pm, weighing 3.3kg and
measuring 50.5cm.
Mia Lynn SharpTHE Sharp family is a half-and-
half.
Young Patrick, 2, was born
in the US, while his little sister,
Mia Lynn, was born in good
ol’ Oz.
Mum Erin, who grew up in
California, said the hardest
thing about the pregnancy
was doing it through a hot and
sticky Darwin Wet.
“It’s just so hot it takes so
much out of you,” she said.
Husband Baden Sharp
is the chief executive of NT
Hockey, and Erin predicted
little Mia would get into the
sport.
Baby Mia was born on June
1 at 8.40am. She weighed in at
2.83kg and measured 46cm.
Anthony KariotisA LITTLE Darwin Hellenic
supporter was born just in
time for this weekend’s Greek
Glenti.
Little Anthony Kariotis was
born on June 5.
Mum Leonie said their
family is now complete.
“Being a mum again is
great — but the whole family
was a bit shocked that I was
pregnant, because Michael (18
months) was still so young. It
keeps us on our toes.”
Dad Steven Kariotis is a
former Hellenic star, and is
sure to get the four kids —
Natalya, 7, Kosta, 4, Michael,
18 months, and now Anthony
— into the sport. Anthony was
born at 2.30am. He weighed
2.81kg, and measured 47.5cm.
Baby CumaiyiNEW mum Imelda Cumaiyi is
all smiles after the birth of her
baby.
She has chosen not to
name her newest arrival — a
baby daughter — until she
returns home to Wadeye.
When she does get home,
it is certain she will receive a
huge welcome from big sister
Mary, a four-year-old who is
rapt to have a baby sister.
Mary is sure to smother her
little sister in kisses and hugs,
and give her all the love in the
world.
Marius Vincent David StoryTHE supporters clubs for the
University Cricket Club and the
Australia-wide Ford fans club
have gained another member,
after the birth of Marius
Vincent David Story.
He was born on June 6 at
7.18am.
“It’s so different to anything
that’s ever happened before —
it’s life-changing,” said Marius’
proud father.
Marius is the first grandchild
on the paternal side.
Mum Celesthe said it was “a
bit weird”.
“But it’s really good now that
he is out, knowing that he is
yours,” she said.
Marius weighed a whopping
4.99kg, and measured
49.5cm.
BenjaminYork BarrattLITTLE Benjamin will be a boy
growing up in a girl’s world.
Benjamin is the fourth child
to parents Sheree and Steven
Barratt — and the couple’s first
boy. But he will have it easier
than other boys in his situation
— the couple’s third child,
Alicia, is already 11.
“They all think it’s great that
they’ve got a little brother,” said
Steven.
Benjamin was born on
June 4 at 9.18pm. He weighed
3.95kg and measured 55cm.
Yianni Emanuel SiriotisTHE Siriotis family celebrated
Glenti in a different way this
year.
Mediterranean dancers
Maria and Emanuel Siriotis
welcomed baby boy Yianni
Emanuel Siriotis into the
world with an unexpected
home birth the day before the
festivities.
Baby Yianni was booked in
for his big day at the hospital,
but in a rush to experience his
first Glenti he crowned before
paramedics arrived.
First time parents Maria and
Emanuel have dancing hopes
for Yianni.
Yianni Emanuel Siriotis
was born on June 10 at
6.20am, weighing 3.53kg and
measured 48.5cm.
Cooper James HopkinsTHE Hopkins clan is thrilled
following the arrival of baby
Cooper.
Little Cooper is mum
Maria’s second child after
Abygaille and dad Mark’s
first. Maria said it was an easy
pregnancy and delivery.
“It’s bringing back all the
(baby) memories,” she said.
Mark, a motorsport fan, said
hoped Cooper would be a
race driver when he grew up.
The Hopkins family thanked
Dr Miller and the staff at
Darwin Private Hospital.
Cooper was born on June
1 at 2.23pm. He weighed in at
2.96kg and measured 48.5cm.
Ruby Lee Bonson
THE BONSON family home
is now filled with two stones
and a flower, after the birth of
baby Ruby Lee.
Ruby is the third child to
Naomi and John Bonson, who
have previously welcomed Lilli,
4, and Pearl, 3.
“When we had Lilli, we
named her after our favourite
flower,” said John. “And when
we had Pearl — and now Ruby
— we named them both after
our two favourite gemstones.
“So I guess if we have
another one, it will be time for
another flower,” he said.
Little Ruby was born
on June 6 at 9.53am. She
weighed 3.15kg and measured
49cm.
