Stewardship InformationAt a recent bi-weekly Directors Meeting, the Clergy and Ministry Directors had a discussion about our collection information reported in the bulletin.

Each week, we publish not only the total dollar amount of our weekly collection but also the individual total for each of our weekend Masses. While it is important for our Parish to be financially transparent, we are also concerned about security and safety.

After discussion and reflection, concern was raised that, in our effort to be trans-parent, we may be inadvertently creating an unsafe environment by publishing collection times and dollar amounts.

Therefore, with everyone’s safety in mind, we will no longer publish the weekend Mass collections in the bulletin. The information will be available in the annual State of the Parish Report or by request in person at the Pastoral Office.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of St. Cecilia.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Francis

Welcoming Sunday: Join our Parish Family If you are interested in making St. Cecilia your parish home, we welcome you and invite you to stop by Room 204 of the Community Center after the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Mass today, June 16. All are welcome!

Meet Fr. Francis, members of the Pastoral Staff, Pastoral Council and some of the ministry groups to learn more about our wonderful parish. Registration forms and stewardship materials will be available.

A Message from our PastorDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I would like to inform you that Fr. Paul Foltyn has been appointed as administrator of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Southeast Houston, a community of about 1400 families Fr. Paul was a mechanical engineer in previous life. Because of his profes-sional training, he has been truly helpful to me in taking care of the nitty gritty stuff of our facilities here at St. Cecilia. I am sure that you have seen him inspecting our roof, among other things.

I am saddened to lose him as a parochial vicar at St. Cecilia. And yet, in light of the needs in the Archdiocese, we cannot help but exercise charity on our part. We are grateful for the one year he has generously served our parish. I pray and hope that the pastoral experiences and administrative exposure he has had in the parish will prove to be fruitful seeds for his success as St. Augustine.

Let us pray for him as he begins this new ministry. We will keep you posted of when the farewell reception for him will be.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Francis

If you have not already offered your pledge in this year’s Diocesan Services Fund (DSF), please do so today. DSF 2019 reminds us, the Church, to Not Neglect to Share What you Have, and through our willingness to share our blessings, benefit ministries that serve thou-sands and thousands of our brothers and sis-ters in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. With your generous support of DSF, you offer praise to God and care to the many pressing needs that cannot be addressed individually or by one parish alone.

To give online, please visit www.archgh.org/dsf. For those of you who have already responded with a gift, please accept our sincere gratitude.
