These two cell types exert their unique immunological functions independently. They also interact to regulate the cellular activities of each other. We aim at identifying novel factors that regulate their differentiation and functions. Our ability to genetically engineer NK and DC cells to regulate their development and/or to define their functional activities in vivo have important clinical implications in infection, autoimmunity, transplantation and allergic diseases.
