for some of you this will make for a change in your Sunday
morning routine, but here are a few challenges in routine I
want to give everyone…
Meet someone new. Regardless of which service you
usually attend, you will see a new face. Take the first step
and introduce yourself.
Sit somewhere different. This in itself may bring you to
encounter new people.
Enjoy everyone’s voices. One beautiful thing in
worshipping together is that all of our voices will be one. I
do think there is something beautiful in that, so take a
moment to reflect upon what you hear.
Welcome the differences. If you usually attend at
8:30am, I hope you will enjoy the choir, musicians, and
seeing all the children. If you usually attend at 10:30am, I
hope you will appreciate worshipping alongside many of
this church’s most faithful and spiritually deep members
who usually attend the early service.
Overall, please know I have a genuine appreciation for our
early service; it’s a great way to begin the day for me, too. It’s
also an important time of worship, for members and visitors
alike, who want/need to worship prior to whatever their day
may hold. But this is a strong church with a strong sense of
community and I look forward to seeing us all as one body
together.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Tony
Our Dominican Republic mission trip was a tremendous success! We worked with the local
church on a construction project at the church, installed 15 water filters in the community,
did VBS with the kids, and even managed to play baseball with the local children (although we
were no match for them!). It was a wonderful time of service, learning, growth, and praise to
God. My favorite part was the multiple times of worship we shared. Our services included
people from Thailand, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the USA, so it seemed as if we were
living Revelation 7:9, worshipping with folks from “every nation, tribe, people, and language.”
¡Gloria a Dios!

Supporting Ministry Together As of June 24, 2019
From the Preschool Director by Alicia Shell
As I write this, we are three weeks into Camp FBP. I am pleased to announce our summer
enrollment of 63 Lil Fish, and that includes 14 new friends!
Farmer John Bryson joined us for “Down on the Farm Week” and shared his delicious fruits and
vegetables with our children. They enjoyed seeing a giant zucchini and talking about sweet potatoes (or “sweet
pa-too-tees,” as he called them). We celebrated “The Five Senses Week” by learning all about the stomach bug;
not such fun times. This week we got to take a trip to the wonderful world of Disney for “Disney Week” (just
think: all the magic without the long lines or prices)! We also hosted a “Donuts with Dad” event on Friday, June
14th, with donuts and coffee donated by Dunkin’ Donuts. It was precious to see how our Lil Fish were “hooked” on their daddies. We look forward to five more fun-filled weeks of summer with our Lil Fish.
I would like to take a moment to celebrate the success of our first academic year at FBP. We finished the year
with 65 friends. Twenty-two of our Lil Fish officially “graduated” during our Moving Up ceremony on May 24th,
including FBC’s very own Mary Remington Coleman, Lewis Moser, Molly Shell, and Harper Taft. FBP families enjoyed some joyful music as our Lil Fish performed for them. They were then welcomed to a delicious reception,
hosted by the ladies of WOW. My sincere thanks to these women who have “adopted” us this year and been
graciously involved in our special events.
I’d also like to thank each and everyone of you for your continued love, support, and generosity during our first
year. Many of you contributed to the love offering for our teachers which helped us provide them with a delicious lunch, a treat from the ice cream truck, and a $25 gift card for each classroom. These women give tirelessly
every day to our Lil Fish, often at the expense of themselves and their families, and for that we are extremely
appreciative. It has been an honor to serve as the Director of FBP this past year and I look forward to exciting
things to come this fall. Thanks again, and feel free to swim by to visit us Lil Fish, big and small, anytime.
Greetings from Camp FBP!
