SPECIAL AWARD BEST OF SHOW RED WINE BEST OF SHOW WHITE WINE RULES A. All wines other than commercial wines or wines made by a wine maker employed by or owner of a bonded winery are eligible. B. Must be at least 21 years of age to enter. C. Entry consists of two (2) bottles, 750 ml each, for judging and display. D. No foil capsules. E. All Classes will be judged single blind. F. Entries become the property of Napa County Fair and will not be returned. G. Bottles must be labeled with 2”x4” label, in addition to home/wine maker’s label. Gold Medal is awarded to wines that demonstrates its type and/or varietal character, balance, structure, and complexities to the highest standards. Silver Medal character of its type or variety; a wine deemed to be well crafted and of excellent quality. Bronze Medal is awarded to wines that are true to its type or variety; a wine deemed to be well crafted and of good quality. Danish System of judging.
