FRIENDS FOR FUN, SAFETY
AND KNOWLEDGE
Welcome to the heat of Georgia. Not much fun sitting on a bike in this heat,
just remember that whatever event we do it always can be done on Two,
Three, or Four Wheels. The idea is to come on along for the ride and have
some fun.
This past month we had a great time at the Chapter Picnic (lucky it was in-
side) with 20 of us having a good time eating and playing games. After the
picnic 6 of us headed out to Hartwell Dam for the fireworks. A nice display
and it was great weather with a breeze. Another planed ride was up to Toccoa
for their Custom Car show. Beautiful cars and a lot of memories coming back
about those times.
Thanks to Rodney and Charlotte we had our first Pak N Ride to a roadside
park north of Toccoa. This was topped off with a trip to Sonic for some Ice
Cream. The same two members located a Park in Cornelia and we will be ad-
venturing there on July 23rd. All you have to do is bring something eat for
dinner and then if available we will try and find some ice cream afterwards.
We will post information about location and time on our Facebook site Hart-
well Cruisers. If you are not on the Facebook site let myself or Randall know
and we will get you signed in. All last minute rides will be posted on this site.
Items to remember is our District Ride-In in September which we seem to
have a lot of our Chapter members coming up to River Vista, September19th
to 21st. Also the end of the photo contest is August 31st. Wing Ding in Nash-
ville is August 27-31.
Lets try and do and see as much as we can and make sure if you come up
with something post it on our Facebook site and maybe others would like too
tag along.

Things have been happening pretty fast for GWRRA and especially with the Georgia District.
I am so glad that Frank and Melinda have stepped up to try and get the State back on track. But that
has a lot of pressure on them. Frank was doing the things he really likes which included District Ride
Educator, First Aid Instructor and Chapter Director. They have to give up some things to concentrate
of the new Job that awaits them. They have hinted that they would like Doris and I to take over
Chapter I-2. We have held this position in the past and enjoyed it but we got burned out because we
didn’t have anyone to pick up the other positions. In Chapter I-2 everyone has held their position for
a long time and I understand that they might like to quit. If Doris and I would take the Position of
Chapter I-2 Director I would like everyone to hang in with us and support us as you have Frank and
Melinda.
Please understand that Frank and Melinda will stay with our Chapter as a members and will try
and do whatever we do as a Chapter. The Brothers and Doris and I have a great love for the Organi-
zation as we believe there are a lot of good times to be had and maybe we have to approach it a little
differently. This is where you may see some differences in our running the Chapter. As one of the
newest members to this Chapter we have found good friends and had good times and this all we want
to do to keep it going.
Oh by the way make sure you get busy taking pictures for the photo contest and also sign up
for the Georgia District Ride In at the River Vista Campgrounds in September.
