Mission Prayer Moments International: Laylat al-Qadr is the
night when Muslims believe the first verses of the Qu’ran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It occurs on one of the odd-numbered nights during the last ten days of Ramadan, most commonly the 27th night. {Tuesday night (6/21) is that special night, some call the “Night of Power”}
Some Muslims believe that on this night the fate of creation for the coming year is determined, and that prayers are more powerful, sins are forgiven and the blessings and mercy of God are more abundant. It is a night to expect a special closeness to God, and there are many reports of Muslims having dreams or visions of Jesus on this night.
Muslims observing Ramadan will increase their prayers and reading of the Qu’ran during the last ten days. Some who are able will move into the mosque for a time of retreat to worship, pray and read the Qu’ran there for this time. In this way, they hope to earn extra divine favor. CAN WE PRAY?
• Pray for Muslim families around the world to have a special awareness of the presence of God as they pray through Laylat al-Qadr.
• Pray for the needs of Muslim people, particularly in areas of the world where there is conflict or great need.
• Pray that on this night the Holy Spirit would give dreams and visions to those who are seeking revelation. www.30daysprayer.com
*Also pray Matthew 19:29 for those who will be rejected by their family and community because of their new faith in Jesus: “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brother or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be paid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”

Groceries for CSC in June JUNE is one of FBC’s months to help stock the Christian Service Center food pantry – please pick up a sample food list & an empty box in hallway to fill with non-perishable food items & then bring back your filled box in June

Prayer Warriors needed We have prayer teams who pray in the prayer room during our Sunday morning and evening worship services. They are on a schedule to pray once a quarter. Time to re-sign up for Prayer Chain Ministry It is time to re-sign up for a new quarter of our Prayer Chain Ministry. The new quarter began on June 1. Sign up to pray for 1 hour a week in the prayer room. For those who have been involved, you will need to sign up again. If you have not been involved with this ministry, now is a wonderful time to get involved. Sign up in sanctuary foyer on organ side. Sign-up time slots are on a first-come-first-serve basis
Adopt a Deployed Family is a support prayer group that meets in FBC prayer room every Sunday morning at 8:30 primarily to pray for military service members, their families and veterans
