Please read on through my portfolio to find out more about my work, skills and more about me as a person. If there is anything else you would like to know that isn’t covered in the following pages, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Jonathan Tye.

I now have the competence and confidence in my managerial skills to work with and along side other trades and to liaise with Architects, Structural Engineers, Health and Safety Officers, Clients, National Trust, English Heritage and various different City Councils. I work to schedules and timelines liaising with the Directors and Project Managers on progress of contracts. I have the skills to work with all these people and finish contracts on time to an immaculate standard. I expect everyone around me to work to the finest detail and have complete pride in their work as I have myself. I have a very positive attitude and I feel that this transpires to people that I work along side and forms a strong working relationship with everyone involved.

Oct 2007 to current, Self employed as stonemason.

In October 2007, William Sapcote & Sons Ltd went into receivership. As a consequence, I took the opportunity to become self employed and manage my career independently. This has proved to be a great success and since becoming self employed I have already been fully employed on several interesting projects including Lichfield Cathedral.

I worked on a variety of projects, including work on behalf of the National Trust and English Heritage.

My main responsibilities included organising a team of stonemasons, ensuring that the work was completed efficiently and to the required standards. The work included measuring and ordering of materials, as well as liasing with architects and other traders on the site to ensure continuity of the work to schedules.

Personal Interests and qualities:

I have excellent leadership and team working skills and am able to motivate people to get the best performance from them. My enthusiasm to work and learn is strong and I am able to adapt to various situations I work well under pressure and am able to communicate effectively with other employees and with the public. Due to previous extensive travelling I feel I am able to relate to different people and cultures which has given me a lot more self confidence and determination to succeed.

I have a keen interest in all outdoor activities, with particular interest in rock climbing. In recent months I have climbed a number of mountains in the UK and I am hoping to join a climb to the base camp of Mount Everest over the Christmas period.

During my spare time I regularly visit the gym, and enjoy watching and participating in many sports with particular attention to football. In 2012, I completed the Paris marathon in four hours and also the National Three Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours.
