* Call to Confession * Prayer of Confession God of mercy, we begin this Lenten season in confession. We do not live

according to your ways, but according to our own. We do not trust you to be there when we need you. We fear you have abandoned us and we look to idols of our own making to comfort us and guide us. Like the Israelites, we murmur and complain; we criticize and blame. In your compassion, forgive us, teach us your commandments once again, help us to turn from evil in its many guises, and turn us toward your kingdom. In covenantal love, remember us, we pray, and save us from destruction. In Christ’s name we pray. AMEN.

* Silent Prayer and Words of Assurance

* Response “Just as I Am” No. 207 Just as I am, You will receive, will welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;

Because Your promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

* Passing the Peace of Christ (The congregation may greet each other with a sign of reconciliation and peace,

such as a handshake or embrace and say these or similar words.) One: The peace of Christ be with you. People: And also with you.

Growing in Our Faith Show & Tell Scripture Lesson Exodus 32:1-8, 15-20 Bible page 78

Reader: Here ends the lesson. People: Let Your Word abide in us, O God.

* Unison Prayer of Dedication God of abundant mercy, you feed us with the bread of redemption and set us free to share our lives with the world for Jesus’ sake. Therefore we dedicate the offering we have presented, and the gifts we share, for the sake of your service. Through our lives, may we make your promises real and offer your hope to all, to the glory of your name. AMEN.

Sacrament of Holy Communion * Invitation The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us lift up our hearts.

........We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. ........It is right to give our thanks and praise.

* Communion Prayer

* Sanctus Hymn “Seraphic Hymn” No. 795 Holy, Holy, Holy, God of the Heavenly host!

Heaven and earth are full, are full of the majesty of your glory. Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest!

Blessed the one who comes in the name of our God, Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna in the highest!

Words of Institution Leader: Great is the mystery of faith: People: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Sharing the Elements

* Prayer of Thanksgiving Oh Lord, We thank you that in this moment of communion with You and the people gathered we experience the confidence of children who know they are loved and accepted completely. We thank you that our faith and trust has been strengthened. We pray that you continue to enrich our faith and trust so we may be people of living stones; a healing presence to those we meet. AMEN.
