Provide Business Intelligence and Information Management consultancy services to clients Contribute to pre-sales activities as required (e.g., RFP responses, meetings) Installation of software on the RXP Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment Development of logical / physical data model for RXP internal data warehouse. Major projects: Led the data architecture and high level solution design for a BI and reporting solution,

including design of a new data mart, and associated ETL, for a compliance organisation. The solution also required the automated integration between SAS, Informatica, the data warehouse and the existing metadata management and business glossary to synchronize metadata, and provide the ability to add additional terms and calculations to ensure that the structure of data aligned with the business terminology

The CBM programme was based on the SAP banking solution and many enhancements to it.

Solution Designer Responsibilities included:

Design and governance of the standards and conventions for all aspects of EIG (Enterprise Information Gateway program) data. This was a Batch Integration solution for the data warehousing environment. Focused on Investment/ Funds management

Design of physical data management processes

Data modeling and associated metadata (e.g. business definitions)

Engagement of the stakeholders to gain a solid understanding of the business needs and requirements

Implementation of data solutions that meet the business requirements

End-to-end solution design with a focus on data.

Satyam Computer Services, Sydney Aug 2006 – Feb 2007

Consultant (Senior Data Modeller / Senior Data Analyst) Responsibilities included:

Development of logical and physical data models, and source to target data mappings for an integrated Data Warehouse for a large Telecommunications company

Leadership of a team of data modellers for the above programme

Scoping and business analysis for a programme incorporating a Customer Data Store (Data Warehouse), Marketing Data Mart and Campaign management system for a large Insurance company. This included evaluation of alternative products for the Campaign management system and making a recommendation on which to proceed with which was accepted

Development of logical data models for a Data Warehouse for the above insurance program. Also Business Analyst work on the requirements for a Marketing software tool and evaluation of products.

These projects concerned both internal bureau operation and data from third party suppliers. (The database environments were SQL Server and DB2. XML was also used for two primary channels.)

Member of the Data Architecture team producing data models at architectural level of current and target systems. Worked on producing an Enterprise Data Architecture and on a metadata management proposal

Development and maintenance of a large Data Dictionary for the Australian credit bureau.

City of Sydney Council, Sydney Sep 2002 – June 2003

Responsibilities included:

Building, administering and enhancing a data warehouse of complaints and associated information for performance reporting

Administering (including user creation and management) and enhancing the Customer Request System and other Lotus Notes enforcement related databases which fed to the data warehouse

Introducing and maintaining a Prosecutions database (MS Access)

Performing data and statistical analysis, report development and spreadsheet & database manipulation (MS Excel and MS Access)

A focus of this work was on identifying “problem premises” by importing data from various sources into MS Access.

In addition, involved in analysis for conversion of compliance related data from other Councils due to boundary changes. Analysed and specified an ongoing technical and procedural framework for data extraction from Lotus Notes and reporting.

IBM Global Services Australia, Sydney Oct 2001-July 2002

Senior Business Analyst/Data Modeller Asia Pacific Marketing & Sales Management project (MSM).

Responsibilities included:

Business analysis of marketing and sales requirements

Data analysis/ mapping/ modelling and spreadsheet manipulation

Enabled detailed understanding of their Analytics Database (ADB) SAS data sets by developing a data model and mapping; and making accepted recommendations for improved interfaces (e.g. to the financial data warehouse) and reporting. MSM was an AS/400 DB2 based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Liaised extensively with users from IBM Asia Pacific. Participant in migration of this data to a Siebel (now Oracle) environment.
