I dedicate my book to Mrs. Mattson and Mrs. P for being the best teachers in my life!

Under the deep blue ocean there are two sharks who live together. One is the mother and the other is the baby. Mother Shark always follows her baby wherever he goes. The seaweed and the coral wave around as the two sharks swim by. Baby shark opens its mouth to let his mother know that he is hungry.

Baby shark eats ten fish a day and he grows every few weeks. The coral sways with the swoosh of the sharks going by. Mother Shark follows her baby to make sure he is safe. Baby Shark is eating a big salmon so he can be like his mother some day.

After a while, Mother Shark does not see baby shark. She looks everywhere she knows around the ocean. Mother Shark starts to get very worried. Baby Shark starts to miss his mother. Meanwhile mother shark hunts on her own. She looks under the coral, around the seaweed, and behind the rocks.

Finally, Mother Shark finds what she looking for. It is baby shark! Baby Shark is right in front of her! When she sees Baby Shark she huddles up to him. Mother Shark pushes Baby Shark up out of the ocean for a breath of air. Little waves pass Mother Shark as she swims.
