◊ WWWWWWWWho?ho?ho?ho? The New York Military Affairs Symposium is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization. The membership in-cludes scholars, active and retired military per-sonnel and concerned civilians.
◊ What?What?What?What? NYMAS talks are free and open to the public.
◊ When? When? When? When? NYMAS talks are held from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on selected Friday evenings from September to June.
◊ Some talks. including Fall and Spring Friday/Saturday events, may also be held. See email notifications or nymas.orgnymas.orgnymas.orgnymas.org online.
◊ Where?Where?Where?Where? Talks are held, except as noted, at the Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club, at 283 Lexington Avenue, between 36th and 37th Streets in midtown Manhattan.
◊ Why?Why?Why?Why? NYMAS is devoted to increasing public knowledge, awareness, and understanding of the interrelationship of war, society, and culture, through the presentation and dissemination of diverse scholarly viewpoints. We cover a broad range of topics, including cur-rent events, military history, arms control, inter-national relations, defense policy, disarmament, civil-military relations, international security, and veterans’ affairs.
