In 1919, Mrs. Cornelia Barnes Rogers and Mrs. eodore Roosevelt, Jr.with General John J. Pershing founded the Soldiers’, Sailors’ andAirmen’s Club. In war and peace, without any U.S. Government fundingand support solely by donations of patriotic Citizens, it has ever since beena “Home Away From Home” for over 5,000,000 men and women of theArmed Forces and their families. We have existed now for ninety fouryears with our warm, friendly, and safe environment providing hospitalityand accommodations for 17,000 Armed Forces personnel annually.

With the continued help of our patriotic friends, it always will be.
